I've got a quote in this BBC News report about the completion of a purchase under Part 5 of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2016, being a forced sale to a community body which survived a challenge by the landowner at Dundee Sheriff Court. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c62l…

Amazing: journalist does journalism to discover something, and because everyone is so used to people living by press release, they literally can't believe the journalist found it out on their own. holdthefrontpage.co.uk/2026/…

I had a brief cameo on BBC Scotland's "Reporting Scotland" through the week, discussing the enforceability of private parking fines. The report itself was prompted by the new Private Parking Code of Practice for Scotland, England & Wales, introduced to Parliament on 20 Oct 2026.>

Having participated in the Mòd for over ten years, I finally managed to snare the big choral prize of the Lovat and Tullibardine competition last week, and do a spot of piping. Still buzzing. "Tapadh leibh" and well done to everyone involved in Mòd Ghlaschu 2026 in any capacity.

Listened to a BBC Radio 6 chat about the TV show The Break Clause, re a couple who move in together, break up, but then need to live together for six months as that's the minimum tenancy duration. A premise that wouldn't work in Scotland, or rather would be restricted to 28 days.

Annual trip to the Tenement House with my Strathclyde Housing Law class for some history/legal geography. Shame the record player & accompanying 80s vinyl collection usually in the café was away for an exhibition (with these materials to engage with instead). Still a great venue.
