In this conversation, Mika Shein of the University of Haifa, Faculty of Law, Israel, shares what she took away from the Ambassadors of Coexistence initiative.
She speaks about the bold and unconventional ideas that young people bring, and how giving youth a platform opens perspectives free from the patterns that have shaped conflicts for centuries. For her, coexistence lives in dialogue rather than confrontation. She hopes the vision behind her project will reach other academic institutions, so that others can benefit from the experiences and lessons her team gained along the way.

Meet Joseph Engio, who participated in the Ambassadors of Coexistence initiative representing the American University of Nigeria.
He shares his perspective that coexistence is a deliberate effort rather than something that happens on its own. He also describes his project, presented through the initiative, which focuses on identifying narratives that can lead to conflict before it arises. He calls on fellow youth to work together despite differences in race, origin, tribe, or religion, as this is the only way to ensure sustained coexistence.

شارك وفد #مركز_منارة_للتعايش_والحوار في المنتدى الدولي الأول للحضارة الإسلامية، الذي نظّمه مركز الحضارة الإسلامية و عُقد في مدينتي طشقند وسمرقند بجمهورية أوزبكستان، بمشاركة نخبة من القادة والعلماء وقيادات دينية وصنّاع القرار وممثلي المؤسسات الدولية من مختلف أنحاء العالم.
وشكّلت هذه المشاركة امتدادًا للشراكة الاستراتيجية التي تجمع مركز منارة للتعايش والحوار بـ مركز الحضارة الإسلامية في جمهورية أوزبكستان، والتي تعكس التزام المؤسستين بتعزيز الحوار والتعايش السلمي، وصون الإرث الحضاري، وإطلاق مبادرات مشتركة تسهم في ترسيخ قيم السلام والتفاهم بين الشعوب.
ويؤكد مركز منارة من خلال هذه المشاركة التزامه بمواصلة التعاون مع شركائه الدوليين لدعم المبادرات التي تعزز المعرفة و التعايش السلمي والتعاون الدولي، بما يسهم في بناء مستقبل أكثر سلامًا وازدهارًا.
A delegation from the #Manara_Center_for_Coexistence_and_Dialogue participated in the First International Forum on Islamic Civilization, organized by the Center of Islamic Civilization and hosted in Tashkent and Samarkand in the Republic of Uzbekistan, alongside distinguished leaders,religious and academic scholars, policymakers,and representatives of international organizations from around the world.
The participation further reflected the strong strategic partnership between the Manara Center for Coexistence and Dialogue and the Center of Islamic Civilization in the Republic of Uzbekistan, underscoring the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing dialogue, promoting coexistence, preserving our shared civilizational heritage, and developing joint initiatives that foster peace and mutual understanding.
Through its participation, Manara reaffirms its commitment to strengthening international cooperation and supporting initiatives that promote knowledge, peaceful coexistence, and intercultural dialogue, contributing to a more peaceful and prosperous future.

على هامش مؤتمر سفراء التعايش 2026، جاء معرض “دروب الإنسانية” ليصل بين قصص الماضي وأصوات المستقبل؛ من خلال مخطوطات وقطع نادرة تروي كيف التقت الشعوب والحضارات عبر التاريخ، وكيف شكّل هذا اللقاء جزءاً من ذاكرتنا الإنسانية المشتركة.
يتحدث سعادة أحمد عبيد المنصوري، مؤسس متحف معبر الحضارات، عن هذا المعرض الذي وُلد من قناعةٍ مشتركة بأن تاريخنا وقصصنا تحمل من الروابط الإنسانية ما يتجاوز حدود الاختلاف.
ويفخر مركز منارة للتعايش والحوار بشراكته مع متحف معبر الحضارات في تقديم هذا المعرض، وتجسيد رسالته على أرض الواقع.

Manara was honored to collaborate with the Crossroads of Civilizations Museum on Paths of Humanity: Where Civilizations Meet and Rise Together. Coexistence is not a modern aspiration. It is an inheritance; and these artefacts are its proof. Across faiths, languages, and centuries, humanity has always chosen to meet, to learn, and to rise together. This exhibition was a reminder that the story of human civilization is, at its core, a story of encounter.
تشرف مركز منارة للتعايش والحوار بالتعاون مع متحف معبر الحضارات في معرض «دروب الإنسانية: حيث تلتقي الحضارات وترتقي معاً».
يذكّرنا المعرض بأن التعايش ليس فكرة حديثة، بل إرث إنساني قديم. فمن خلال هذه المقتنيات، نرى كيف التقت الشعوب عبر الأديان واللغات والقرون، وتعلّمت من بعضها، ونهضت معاً.
ففي النهاية، قصة الحضارة الإنسانية هي قصة لقاء وتواصل.
