Even with protocols in place, there is room for bias in the heart transplant eval.
We looked at all pts evaluated for HT at our 🏥 over 8 yrs. ⬇️
1️⃣ Substance use cited as ineligibility factor in 151/1148 evaluated pts. Only 16 (‼️) of those pts went on to get HT!
