I wanted to play around a bit with trading commodities on @edgeX_exchange ahead of its expansion into FX. I deposited some funds and opened a 10x $XAU long to get a feel for the platform. The trade was simple, execution was pretty fast, and I liked the whole UX side. The main reason why I started is the timing of what comes next: On September 16, edgeX plans to launch alongside @arc mainnet as a Day 1 partner, bringing Arc its first 24/7 FX perp markets, starting with USD/JPY. It also plans to support 150+ perp pairs across U.S. stocks, commodities, and crypto, all using native $USDC on Arc for margin and settlement. Basically, Arc is building the stablecoin rails, while edgeX is bringing the markets on top. And 24/7 FX trading feels like the most natural place for those two pieces to meet.
