Journalists shouldn't be 'breaking' news stories about drone attacks, and our publicly funded national broadcaster shouldn't be prioritising it in the main news bulletins, until there are some basic facts and evidence to corroborate it and make it newsworthy. That's all.
I don’t know what’s behind this sighting, but it should certainly be investigated. The conspiracy theorists will, of course, see it as a scam to draw us closer to NATO. We owe it to the safety of our skies to take such potential incursions seriously. rte.ie/news/leinster/2026/09…

The pilot is saying he did NOT (negative) see the drone.

Today @sUASnews contacted the press office of Ireland's Gardaí, along with an animated/controllable ADS-B link demonstrating a civilian aircraft matched the track of the alleged drone, almost certainly solving the mystery.
