We’re celebrating Make UK’s National Manufacturing Day by opening our doors for guided tours and careers advice to local engineering students from Sale High School and Trafford & Stockport College Group. They’ve been behind the scenes of our Bridging and BOXER facilities and heard from our Director of Engineering, Lee Derbyshire and Head of Marketing Communications, Emma Livingstone about the breadth of careers available and the various pathways to employment. They’ve seen firsthand how we’re investing in skills, infrastructure and innovation to maintain, sustain and develop the highly skilled, qualified and experienced workforce that our industry depends on. #WeAreKNDS #KNDSUK #KNDS #WhenItCounts #NMD2026 #NMD26 #UKManufacturing #MadeInTheUK #UKMfg #SkillsForLife #InspireToAchieve

🧡 SKCIN AT THE FOOT & ANKLE SHOW DIGITAL We’re delighted that SKCIN CEO Marie Tudor is a speaker at the Foot & Ankle Show Digital, introducing our nationally recognised MASCED PRO (Melanoma and Skin Cancer Early Detection) online training programme - available to watch on demand throughout September. 🔎 Introduction to MASCED PRO Online Training Skin cancer is the UK’s most common cancer, affecting 1 in 5 people. Yet around 90% of cases are preventable, and when detected and treated early, outcomes can be extremely positive, having the potential to save lives. Professionals working in primary care and foot and ankle health are uniquely placed to support skin surveillance and early detection - particularly when examining areas of the lower limb and foot that patients may not routinely check. In her session, Marie introduces SKCIN and MASCED PRO, including bite-sized elements of skin cancer early detection and practical tools and resources for clinics and practices. 🤝 Collaboration is key. By equipping more professionals with the knowledge and confidence to recognise potential skin cancers, together we can help detect skin cancer sooner and save lives. ⏰ LAST WEEK TO WATCH! The Foot & Ankle Show Digital is available until the end of September, so there’s still time to catch Marie’s session. 👉 WATCH HERE: footandankleshow.com/login/ SKCIN has proudly worked with OSGO for the past three years, supporting its digital events and annual Foot & Ankle Shows in Liverpool, helping bring vital skin cancer education to professionals across the sector. A huge thank you to OSGO Healthcare and the Foot & Ankle Show for their continued support. 🧡 PREVENTION AND EARLY DETECTION SAVE LIVES. 🧡 @osgohealth #SKCIN #MASCED #SkinCancer #Melanoma #SkinCancerAwareness #EarlyDetection #FootAndAnkle #Podiatry #PrimaryCare #HealthcareProfessionals

Together as Team Boxer UK   One team. One shared purpose: delivering BOXER to the British Army.   At @dvd_event, the Team Boxer UK community came together to recognise the collective contribution being made across the programme.   Military and civilian. User and procurer. Government and industry. Primes, partners, SMEs and the wider supply chain. Team Boxer UK brings together the people and organisations playing their part in delivering BOXER to the British Army.   And that collective effort is delivering impact far beyond the vehicle itself.   BOXER is firmly in production, with the 100th UK Boxer delivered to the British Army in June. In total, 623 vehicles are being delivered, with UK manufacturing taking place at KNDS UK, Stockport and Rheinmetall Telford.   Across the programme: • Around 75% of BOXER’s components are sourced domestically. • More than 100 UK suppliers are contributing. • Around 1,000 jobs are supported across the UK supply chain. • More than £1.6 billion has been put into the UK economy through the BOXER programme.   Behind those numbers are the people, skills and expertise needed to deliver complex armoured vehicles in the UK – from engineering and manufacturing to integration, testing and through-life support.   Bringing Team Boxer UK together at DVD was an opportunity to recognise that shared contribution and the strength of the community behind the capability.   BOXER - the backbone of British industry.   #TeamBoxerUK #KNDS #BritishArmy #BOXER #UKDefence #UKManufacturing #MadeInTheUK #ReindustrialisingBritain #DVD2026 #UKSupplyChain #SMEs

Commemorated annually on 15 August, VJ Day marks the end of the Second World War. The manufacturing companies of Greater Manchester and Stockport especially played a huge role in the war effort and over 80 years on, as the numbers of those who served and lived through those darkest of days dwindle, we pause to remember and give thanks. Last year for VJ80, Stockport Armed Forces Community Organisation and the KNDS UK Fairey Band held a fundraising concert of commemoration. It was a fitting opportunity to come together as a community to remember and honour the extraordinary contributions of our veterans and celebrate the peace that followed. youtu.be/7IcQzNBrZG4 #VJDay #WeWillRememberThem

Using an innovative launch mechanism designed, developed and manufactured here in Stockport, our Dry Support Bridge (DSB) can be deployed in just 90 minutes by a crew of 8 to a span of 46 metres. Supporting both military and humanitarian purposes, it provides rapidly deployable gap-crossing capabilities and temporary infrastructure relief crucial to the rebuilding process in emergencies and disaster zones. With interoperability a key priority, each DSB is compatible with any other DSB in service, which allows the sharing of resources during NATO and other joint operations worldwide. Currently in service with 6 Armed Forces, with a further 2 on contract including the British Army, proudly made in Stockport and trusted around the world. BOXER put to the test! Team Boxer UK recently welcomed defence commentator and former Tank Commander Hamish de Bretton-Gordon OBE to Millbrook Proving Ground for an exclusive opportunity to experience the British Army’s BOXER Mechanised Infantry Vehicle. From accelerating beyond 70mph on Millbrook’s high-speed circuit to tackling demanding off-road terrain, Hamish put BOXER through its paces to explore the mobility, versatility and engineering behind one of the world’s most advanced armoured vehicles. Built to deliver operational advantage while supporting sovereign capability and highly skilled jobs, BOXER is a prime example of the innovation and engineering excellence delivered through Team Boxer UK, bringing together the British Army, government, industry and a nationwide supply chain. With production well underway in the UK, Team Boxer UK has recently delivered its 100th BOXER vehicle to the British Army. @Telegraph has captured the experience in a fantastic short film, showcasing BOXER’s impressive performance and the capability that underpins the British Army’s next generation of mechanised mobility. His verdict? 11 out of 10. #TeamBoxerUK #BOXER #BritishArmy #OneTeamOneMission #WeAreKNDS #KNDSUK #WhenItCounts

Hello Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me Is there anyone at home? Come on now I hear you're feeling down Well, I can ease your pain Get you on your feet again Relax I'll need some information first Just the basic facts Can you show me where it hurts? There is no pain, you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I had a fever My hands felt just like two balloons Now I've got that feeling once again I can't explain, you would not understand This is not how I am I have become comfortably numb I have become comfortably numb O.K. Just a little pin prick There'll be no more ah! But you may feel a little sick Can you stand up? I do believe it's working, good That'll keep you going through the show Come on, it's time to go There is no pain you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown The dream is gone I have become comfortably numb

Today, we welcomed representatives from Stockport and Salford Sea Cadets for a special behind the scenes tour of our Bridging and Boxer facilities. The cadets met apprentices, former cadets and veterans who work across the site and learned about the many opportunities available to them as cadets. Supporting and inspiring the next generation is key if we are to succeed in sustaining the highly skilled, qualified and experienced workforce that our industrial base depends on. Steven Sharples, a Petty Officer in Stockport Sea Cadets said: “It was a super experience and a privilege to experience - great to see the cadets captivated by all that KNDS UK are doing here.” We’re proud to support cadets, veterans and reservists alike as part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant. #WeAreKNDS #WhenItCounts #InspireToAchieve #Cadets
