This past weekend, I was invited to preview a brand new airport before it opens to the public. My favorite airport has always been @fly_BUR (Burbank Airport opened in 1930). Now, the new Hollywood Burbank Airport replacement terminal (#ElevateBUR) is about to open. It only took three years to build, with construction running from January 2024 to October 2026 ✈️ To ensure that flight counts and regular aircraft operations remain unchanged, the airport will execute an overnight cutover. Flights will arrive at the historic 1930s terminal on the night of October 12th, and beginning the morning of October 13th, all commercial flights, check-ins, security, and baggage claims will fully launch from the new facility. 🚗 The old parking setup will be replaced by a brand-new 2,007-spot parking garage equipped with EV charging stations right next to the new terminal building. Opening Date: October 13, 2026 Facility Size: 355,000 square feet (14 gates) Cost: $1.3 billion

Third-party reviews are a key gatekeeper: You don’t need thousands of reviews. You just need to be present in two to three review sites relevant to your niche.

People are more comfortable now that the AI is better trained to the needs of the customer. In the early days, online self-service was like talking to a wall. #custserv

Grrrrrr. Self service doesn't need a exit survey. #custserv

Agreed, and typically not for the betterment of the customer. Especially when the kiosk asks, "How did we do today?" Uhm... You didn't. I did it for myself. #custserv

Important to remember whether you're a startup or small business. Customers must have a way to contact you quickly. Some customer service issues are time sensitive. #custserv

A4| YES!! That's why businesses have to provide a (1) 'get assistance now' option online, (2) escalated support (still non-human, however improved/targeted) and (3) human follow up (not just a 'queue' experience). Many businesses have scaled back WAY too much #custserv

For our clients yes (including FAQs for AEO/GEO) in the simplest forms. #custserv in #automotive (and #retail) is a little tricky. In my experience (especially for #travel like today), my preference is FAQs and unbeatable HUMANS on phones #custerv
