Line readers: there will be no dispatch today, due to the rapid pace of events. Instead, you get a rare weekend column from one of your editors. It's me! And I'm online now, with no paywall. (Click in next tweet, but please retweet this one!)

@porterairlines why not be straight up with my delayed flight PD365. Just received my 3rd notification and the delay is now up to 2 hrs and 15 minutes. I doubt this will be the last notice as the new time is in 55 minutes but there’s no plane at the gate.

Hey @porterairlines. Another 10 minute delay. Not surprised although there’s not much chance we leave at the new time as it’s in 25 minutes and there’s still no plane at the gate. Just be upfront with your customers.

@TELUSsupport I’ve been on hold for 55 minutes for an issue that can’t be resolved online. The music playing while I wait is on a 30second loop. Please do something to change it up once in a while. I feel like I’m being tortured.

I was the Campaign Manager for the Provincial Conservatives in BC.
This morning, I personally took part in counting some of the final ballots in Surrey-Guildford. @ElectionsBC staff were all incredibly diligent in their work and very thorough in ensuring transparency.
I feel confident in their work.
We now await a judicial recount in at least one riding. Regardless of whether we pull that off or even if David Eby wins government by one single vote—this is democracy.
We will have more updates as more information is made available.

Wouldn’t it be something if this Heritage Minute went viral after it was deleted because woke teachers wanted to erase Sir John A.

These are days you dream of and moments one can only imagine. SO many people to thank. My whole team of coaches. My friend and caddy @DaveMarkle66, these moments are that much sweeter with you next to me. To my parents and brother Josh, I wouldn’t be where I am today without your constant support. And finally, to my wife Andie, you’ve been by my side since winning the Canadian Amateur and have been an incredible partner throughout this wild journey. I think the whole country can thank you for the pep talk you gave me Thursday night 😉
Big thanks to Oakdale Golf & Country Club, @GolfCanada, my incredible partners @RBC, @adidas, @Titleist and finally, I’d like to thank @ahadwingolf for taking one for the team and making sure security was on point.🍾
This win was for all of us, for my fellow Canadian golfers, and for the country I love. Thank you, I felt your support every step of the way. Canada, glorious and free. Words I’ll never forget. 🇨🇦🏆

The whistle blew as soon as Fiala touched the puck, but DeBrusk didn’t hear it. Calling out the referees for a slow call. The only one slow was DeBrusk. #Oilers

It's possible to be pissed off at the @CPC_HQ for their MP's hanging w/a nazi, AND with @liberal_party for ignoring Chinese election meddling EQUALLY.
We need adults, not this crap.
Canada is better than this
