Very sad to hear that John Judd has passed away. John was frequently on our screens in the 1970s & 80s particularly in shows like #TheSweeney & #Minder. His most memorable role, perhaps, was as a sadistic prisoner officer in Scum. He was also the writer, producer & star of the theatre production Twisted Cues & Elliptical Balls. Farewell, Jeffrey Archer. Gobbled up his books for a while starting with “Kane & Abel”. Opinion shifted a bit after reading Michael Crick’s superb biography “Stranger Than Fiction.”He led a full life & achieved a great deal & had more front than Brighton.

Remember this evening well. Our book “Scoring At Half Time” had recently been released.
I was introduced to Jimmy Greaves & he was lovely. On stage Jimmy did all the heavy lifting.
After, we set up a table selling books & pictures in the foyer. Jimmy & his agent the same.
I was embarrassed for JG as the majority of the punters flocked to GB, despite Jimmy being brilliant in the show.
Maybe people sensed George would not be around for much longer and he wasn’t.
