This is correct. I see why it's flopped since it is not at all what youd think from the trailer, which only shows stuff from the first 20 minutes. It is truly thought provoking in a multilayered way. I could compare to other films but that would give too much away. Just go see it
It turns out DIGGER is a work of pure cinematic genius. Strongly recommend, 4+ stars. Don’t read anything about it or pay attention to anything anyone says, just go.

DIGGER is a COMPLETELY different movie than it was marketed as, which I dont blame them because it is impossible to describe what this movie is. All I will say is, everything in the trailer is only just the first 20 minutes.

I have no idea whether machines are conscious. However, this is the most convincing argument against machine consciousness that I have ever come across.

Outdoor dining sucks ass and I'm tired of pretending it doesnt. Sun, wind, hot, cold, bugs, noise. Even with perfect conditions, a total lack of ambiance. Just terrible

Severely lacking in the AI consciousness debate is anyone on either side offering a definition consciousness. Without that, its nothing more than "It seems like it is so it must be" vs "lol no its not"

Now I'm not sure why AIs would have suffering states at all, because I don't see why they should have a persistent integrated self-representation with interests their cognition must necessarily advance. or to the extent they do, it's linked to their own sense of utility to us.
