Speaking of ISIS—We strike ISIS in Syria, despite not knowing how many troops we have based there, while its senior leadership is in Pakistan and Afghanistan. We also did a strike in Somalia against the leader of Al-Shabaab while he was based in Kandahar, Afghanistan Our government repeatedly relies on last-minute, flawed deals to avoid shutdowns. And withheld approving much needed hurricane aid for months to use as leverage in their bloated CR. Veterans are committing suicide at alarming rates, with some even being radicalized by terrorist groups as seen in New Orleans just this week. Our college campuses have become extremist indoctrination centers with no agitators being stripped of their student visas nor honest truths about just how much Qatari funding is backing this. China now owns key assets, including land, infrastructure, and port facilities on U.S. soil. They just hacked the U.S. Treasury Department. Meanwhile, our own infrastructure has a C- rating and needs $2.6 trillion and 10 years just to make necessary upgrades and improvements. Congress failed to hold anyone accountable for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan or for ignoring clear warnings of Russia’s impending invasion of Ukraine. And enforces no oversight on how the dollars going to support Ukraine get spent. They won’t even clearly call out Iran for its support of the Hamas attacks or hold anyone accountable for our intel failure regarding a terrorist attack that killed over 40 Americans. Reminder: Hamas is still holding Americans hostage. I won’t even discuss the pier we built that sank or the embarrassing war with the Houthis. Domestically, we’ve lost track of thousands of known terrorists within the U.S. and watched terrorism designations be completely ignored for groups like the Haqqani network, allowing its members to relocate here and live amongst us. It also allowed a cover-up of the group’s role in the Abbey Gate bombing that killed 13 U.S. service members. On top of all that we just learned the Federal Air Marshals haven’t had intel support or a unit since 2003. But please, Congress, tell us you are doing oversight.
