while ct is busy with irl events, here is what i'd focus on: 馃憞
-> fix your content: improve your profile, build a posting schedule and prepare content and fix mistakes
-> look for work: founders and brands still need their socials managed while they're away, offer to help keep things running
-> pitch yourself: some teams need interns, researchers or content creators to keep pushing updates on time, reach out before they start looking
-> follow up: go through old conversations, unchecked dms and opportunities you never followed through on
-> find gaps: look at what projects aren't doing well right now and think about how you could help
-> ship something: build a case study, bring your work or put together something that proves what you can do
you don't need to be at every event to benefit from the week
the opportunity is being the person who is available, focusing and getting things done
use what you have
make it count.
half the industry is away from their desks right now, and next week will probably be even worse.
it鈥檚 easy to sit there with fomo thinking everyone else is out meeting people, making connections and having a great time, sure they are.
but look at it the other way.
the chances that the people you鈥檙e competing with are fully dialed in right now are probably lower than at any other point in the year.
that鈥檚 your advantage.
i鈥檒l take you guys with me and share enough of what鈥檚 happening here anyway.
if you鈥檙e not here, don鈥檛 worry about what you鈥檙e missing.
use the week to fucking cook.
while everyone else is distracted, go and fucking win my friends.
