Benji recovery update:
Happy to report Benji went from 3.5kg to 5.5kg which is perfect weight for him and he finally got prescribed the strongest meds for his skin issues.
Before that we had to keep his cone on 24/7 or he would scratch and bite himself to the point of bleeding. Now his cone is finally off and he rarely does it!
It’s definitely been challenging getting him back to full health over the past few months because he was in such bad condition when we got him but we’re so happy to have done it and we couldn’t be more happy seeing him happy and not suffering any longer!
Meet Benji! We rescued him after he was abandoned in Dubai by his previous (coward) owners, who fled during the war.
We've had him for over 1 month now, but we didn't know if he was gonna make it. We found him in very bad health with multiple illnesses and open wounds. (He had to spend over 3 weeks at the vet).
I am happy to report that after treatment and a few thousand $ in vet bills (ouch), he is very close to making a full recovery!
They did have to shave his entire body to make sure his wounds didn't get infected, but he has gained over 1 kg already and he is loving life now!

Incredibly sad to hear the news; he was always so positive and smiling even though he battled stage 4 cancer for 8 straight years.
