Took me a minute to find it, but I did this review back at draft time, have some visuals that help show what I was talking about.
Are NFL prospects skipping testing because they 'think they'll do bad'? This comes up every year, literally every single year, but because of how toxic Twitter has gotten it's been more of a slog than usual. Me being me, I counter that with research. So let's dive in!

For fringe cases, sure. Guys who look like top tier athletes tend to test like top tier athletes, similar athletes tend to test similarly, but neither are certain, we get weird stuff all the time.

I might just be more ticky tacky on the usage here, then.

We can actually show that within the data. The NFL scheduling changes for the Combine and pro days directly corresponds to the dropoffs in agility testing and bench, along with other changes for player empowerment, physical, and mental health improvements.

Players skip due to even minor injuries m, but they also skip for injuries that have since healed, due to inability to fully train. Frankly, skipping just because its inconvenient is likely the most common reason the last few years, thats the NFLs fault for how they schedule.

This comes up a lot, im not trying to dog you out if its coming across that way. I might be too harsh here, you did say 'indicative of', but to me that tends to carry a more factual meaning that observational.

What constitutes a fact is important when it comes to data. Its fine to make assumptions, or guess based on what you see, but call it what it is. What you believe, or what you can assume, those are fine observations, but its still not fact.

Intuition isn't fact, either, it's a subjective assumption based on personal experience and biases. What we have all seen is similarly fully subjective.

An assumption isn't a fact, it's an guess, it should be presented that way and not as if it's fact. We can only know what we know, assumptions based on incomplete data would need some kind of other supporting information for any assumption to be meaningful.

What proof is there that it is 'clear and obvious' in this case? Data has to show it.

Players skip testng for a myriad of reasons. That they think they'd do poorly is probably very low on reasons why. Skipping at combine or PD doesn't mean theyre off scott free, teams get it if they want it, and if you skip when they ask, its usually a turn off for those teams.

Its superior to most players. 73rd percentile is still good, just not great.

Happening a LOT right now, when Kalshi and Polymarket disappear the world will be so much better off for it. Theyre the worst and they only create the worst kind of content creators.

Considering most of his content is betting markets, I'd put confidence at very low. Just reading the lines and saying stuff based on betting.

Space Is a vacuum, because it would have no atmosphere, things can actually heat up in space from the radiation. I cant speak fluently on it, but it is pretty cool stuff. They have to use specific materials and techniques to cool in space. Its not impossible, we arent there yet.

I think the idea we could just use space comes from movies, people freeze in space in movies so people assume space is cold.

From what I've seen, it doesnt. Space doesnt cool, you end up with contact welding, so anything put up there would end up having more problems with our current level of tech. Not my field, but I follow a lot of space folks on socials

How do you like the new compare screen? Still working on the redesign (It's a whole lot), but I didn't change much on the compare page, I think it looks alright. Will probably move the test to centered, up font sizes all over.

Ah. I get it, theyre trying to tire the Bills offense out. Playing the long game. Get them tired, then somehow score 3 touchdowns in a quarter, we've seen it a thousand times.
