Expulsion to the National league, long transfer ban & change of ownership is the minimum acceptable for 18 years of cheating.

Burnham will save them. Probably got too many brown envelopes from the owners. Could be up to his neck in it.

Can’t the clubs vote each season to expel them anyway?

Fine, but someone needs to investigate 2018-2026 to ensure the offending behaviour stopped. EFL can't fund another £50m case, so why should they want to receive Man City? They're bound to suspect that City's cheating continues. Only the PL can afford to fund a follow-up.

Relegation to championship anyways not possible by rules IIRC a club that goes out of EPL has to be voted in by 72 EFL clubs to be in their system, and if they accept that club, it enters into League 2

Rui Pinto has more information. He will release it tomorrow. This time Manchester City, PSG and Infantino will make the headlines. We're feasting. 🤣😂

Who gives a fuck what rivals want? They’re the definition of partisan.

If the PL is too afraid to take solid measures against this plastic, cheating ass club, then I guess it’s up to all these clubs that were affected one way or another by their malpractice to go for the jugular. If not now, never.

Will. Mean nothing. Knowing PL and the money City bring in, will be a 300m fine and 40 point deduction City will finish with 45 points this season on 13th. Time goes on.

Sure they do because it massively benefits themselves.

City fans worry about the possible loss to Manchester from punishment. They ignore the many millions of pounds in losses already suffered by other EPL clubs from the cheating.

Strip the titles first and foremost

Yes , the behaviour of the owners and the state and so called sponsors are a disgrace. I’m fully behind the biggest sanctions ever in the history of the PL. I do feel for the City fans but this must stop. Guilty..

At least a five year expulsion

20 point retrospective deduction for every season since they took over . Punishment needs to be fair and spread out accordingly. And expel from premier league then declare owners not fit and proper.

The other 19 teams have influenced both the investigation and the aftermath. With constant interference, lobbying and leaks I really doubt the PL would have even opened an investigation, without Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal leaning on them City were cleared by CAS after all

Ban them from football forever. UAE suing and threatening the UK is the last straw. Dissolve the club, and tell the Sheikh if he opens his mouth about the UK again, he won't have a country to cheat from.

They can want all they like, they have no control over EFL so all they can do is relegated them or expel them from premier league

Professional football is now a big money business, not a hobby. So why isn't this treated as a large scale case of fraud? That is what it is.

6 year ban from the premier league, hopefully the efl won’t accept them

owners must be forced to sell, expulsion to national league, 5 years of 20+ point deductions, restitution to other clubs, 5 year transfer ban at the minimum

Let’s guess who they are, Manchester reds, arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs! How apt, as a Newcastle united supporter we can all see how this is playing out

Seems a tad extreme punishment for an owner investing in his own business 🧐

Exactly. Fine would mean nothing to those money laundering people. One season in championship also wouldn't mean to them in the long run. It should have effect for multiple seasons like their financial doping. When that ends, the investigation for 2018-26 should be done.

But ironically the interference and lobbying by the other 19 teams will help City in the appeals, and certainly in the High Court. City will be able to claim it's not a fair, independent process. Which is the argument they used to defeat the PL in the high courts in 2024

Does the EFL or any of their clubs want MCFC ? How many MCFC players will remain if they are relegated and their owners are deemed unfit ie there goes the money

It's not going to happen this season. City can appeal against the verdict and the sanction. 2-3 months to get the sanction decision. Appeal against verdict = 4 months Appeal against sanction = 4 months And then they'll go to the high court = 3 years
