I actually saw some people blowing off Jacob Rodriguez's 18-tackle performance yesterday because he had no tackles for loss. Per Next Gen Stats, 8 of Rodriguez's 18 tackles were considered "stops" (defined as a tackle that results in a negative EPA for the offense)-- which tied for the most of any player in Week 4. Rodriguez leads the entire NFL with 27 stops on the season.

The dialogue around Malik Willis and the Dolphins' QB situation should not be as binary as it has been. It's NOT either 1) Willis is the solution at QB, or 2) Draft a QB in round 1. There also has to be a QB worth drafting in the top 5 in 2027. That's the most important part of this entire thing. You don't just draft a QB in the top 5 because you need a new QB. That's how bad franchises stay bad.

When you're a bad football team, it will feel like literally every little thing and every little call goes against you. The Dolphins are a bad football team.
