It is because baptism is a real insertion of human beings into the ascended manhood of Christ that the Church is Christ's own body, flesh of his flesh and bone of his bones. -EL Mascall

Catechesis is critical to confirmation but to the growing maturity of the mystical body of Christ as a whole. Don't miss this episode with @bryanchollon.
What is catechesis? In episode 4 of Holy Order, @bryanchollon and Cooper explore this ancient ministry and why it may be more important than ever.

We're radically activated by God's very realism. So all of the change that occurs in beatific union, beatific vision is in the human person, and that's grace, and that's glory. And so God, when God's real with us, we become divinized. There's the theme of theosis. —Fr. @cajetancuddy @MattMBarrett and Fr. Cajetan Cuddy discuss Aquinas' understanding of the Christian life and its role in leading to man's ultimate purpose. Listen to Episode #182 now: credomag.com/2026/10/thomas-…

God does not fake it. He does not put on his *beatific face* for his people. No, the real God is the one we are united to in beatific vision. -@cajetancuddy NEW @CredoMagazine podcast is out! credomag.com/2026/10/thomas-… @dominicanfriars
"Because God is pure act, he has no potency, no unrealized capacities, power, and he has no privations, no disorders. What beatitude shows us is that this is the real God as he really is in himself." —Fr. Cajetan Cuddy Matthew Barrett and Fr. Adriel Sanchez @AdrielTweets is like a surgeon, carefully identifying and extracting the cancerous tumors in our churches—rooting them out!—but all for the sake of restoring worship. His retrieval of liturgy and holy communion, and his accent on ascending into the presence of the Holy Trinity—these are but a few of the ways this book captures the heartbeat of worship according to scripture and the Great Tradition. @ivpacademic @ivpress

Let us celebrate Michaelmas! "Everlasting God, you have ordained and constituted in a wonderful order the ministries of angels and mortals: Mercifully grant that, as your holy angels always serve and worship you in heaven, so by your appointment they may help and defend us here on earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen." —The Book of Common Prayer

Anytime you have sanctifying grace, you have the Holy Spirit present in the soul. The theological virtues, faith, hope and love, these are the substance of the Christian life as we live it. And those are rooted in sanctifying grace. They’re the way sanctifying grace elevates our different powers. The Holy Spirit is the divine person who proceeds as gift and as love. And the Spirit proceeds by way of love. And so in our supernatural reception of this gift, we are being made like the Holy Spirit who proceeds by way of love. @MattMBarrett and Dominic Legge discuss the Holy Spirit and the incarnation.
