And you know what? They do.
Something is definitely off nowadays, but it’s fixable.
Is it just me or anyone else noticed social and spatial awareness completely vanishing? People freezing in doorways, hogging the entire sidewalk, planted in front of exits, blocking whole aisles, stopping at the top of escalators… Get out of the way. Other people exist here too.

Does a script make a bad teacher better? Does it move them from actively causing harm to doing something useful?
Are there many teachers who stink at planning (to the point where they need an actual script) but are solid at everything else? Genuinely curious.
Scripted curriculum (of high quality) is good for students and teachers. It provides clarity and cohesiveness for students and lightens the preparation time and pressure for teachers.

You basically should be driven entirely by whim. You should buy six books on Taoism in one day and read three of them before getting really into loop quantum gravity for a few weeks. You should know a little bit about a completely incomprehensible assemblage of subjects
With mass literacy under attack, I worry that the drive to learn new things is dying with it. I don’t want to live in a world where people’s interests are determined solely by algorithms. Read widely, explore libraries, eagerly seek out music, books & films you’d never heard of.

"Oh someone got tossed by a Bison? OH HAHA MUST HAVE BEEN AN IDIOT TOURIST TRYING TO PET IT" seems to be the automatic response 99% of people come up with "on their own"
Like, watch the video, that was no some idiot tourist. That was a legit really shitty sucky accident. That Old guy did NOTHING to deserve that.
I hope he recovers okay, and I hope that Yellowstone employee in that truck faces so consequences for drawing the Bison in the direction of innocent bystanders.
