Introducing GPT‑6 Cyber: a major advance in security research that pairs stronger capabilities with better model alignment. The model powered the Linux kernel research we announced yesterday, and security teams at companies like Mozilla, Palo Alto Networks, Calif, and Cisco—alongside our own at OpenAI—are already putting it to work. GPT-6 Cyber is available to select Daybreak Red customers and we are expanding access over time. openai.com/index/introducing…

A question I see a lot and one that confused me for a long time! Basically, your laptop comes with a lot of setup you forget is there. The server needs the same dependencies, environment variables and permissions that aren't necessarily available on a server Check the error logs first they usually tell you what’s missing
Can I ask a DUMB programming question? If my app works on my laptop, why does it break on the server? Is it the code, or is it something I forgot to copy?

Let's revisit the Anthropic S-1 and take a look of how much more revenue it is generating against its compute bill Revenue per dollar of compute and infrastructure expense rose from $0.40 in Q1 2025 to $1.72 in Q3 2026, even as spending increased substantially What this shows is that if revenue continues to outgrow compute expenses, more money becomes available to cover research, other costs and further expansion. We're already starting to see @AnthropicAI invest more into research The opportunity is massive - and this gives us something concrete to track alongside the spending commitments, whether each dollar of compute is supporting a stronger business over time

The demand for hyperscalers is showing up in revenue, and bringing capacity online quickly has never been more crucial as it lets companies serve more demand and start collecting cash sooner to help fund the next phase of the buildout Some standouts from this weeks newsletter - Google Cloud grew 103%, Azure 48% and AWS 39% year over year

Incredible to see the hyperscaler growth rates continue to accelerate last week, especially with margins continuing to expand for most (GCP in particular):

Why doesn’t dots actually get things done? I created a document on GPT and sent it to someone. They responded asking for a summarized version. Dot flagged me the response and request Why did it not produce the summarized doc with a response message? Just don’t get it

No more 5 hour limits is a power play
We’re renaming our Max plans: Max 5x → Max Max 20x → Ultra Max is still $100/month, and Ultra is still $200. If you’re a subscriber, there’s nothing you need to do. We’re also removing the 5-hour limit for verified Ultra accounts, starting today with most existing subscribers. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until they’re verified, which helps us prevent fraud and abuse. You'll get an email when it's removed. Weekly limits remain unchanged. We’ve trained Claude to flag potential misuse in conversations, a technique we call self-assessment. Right after it responds, Claude gives a preliminary safety assessment of the conversation. Since we began using self-assessment in June, it has surfaced misuse that our other safeguards weren’t designed to catch. Because Claude has already read the conversation, self-assessment is very efficient. And unlike classifiers, which target a discrete set of harms, it draws on Claude’s own judgment, so it gets more accurate as our models improve. How much of the neocloud market’s concern is about AI demand and how much is about financing the capacity to serve it? 👇
How much of the neocloud market’s concern is about AI demand and how much is about financing the capacity to serve it? One thing worth keeping in perspective during the neocloud selloff is that these companies are building against substantial customer commitments CoreWeave reported $104B of revenue backlog at June 30. Deutsche Bank estimates 60–65% was tied to investment-grade customers. Those commitments suggest customers are planning for substantial AI workloads well beyond the current quarter. Crusoe CEO comments reinforce that confidence - calling the recent selloff overblown and pointing to the strength of CoreWeave’s deals CoreWeave also announced more than $25B of additional customer commitments early in Q3, while management reported a ~25% pricing increase across SKUs in July. Some short term contracts were signed at ~$40M in annualized revenue per MW. That combination of customer quality, growing commitments and stronger pricing should help give lenders confidence to continue funding the buildout The way I see it moving forward, as agents take on longer tasks and businesses put more AI into production, compute usage could grow through both wider adoption and more work per user That gives neoclouds a substantial opportunity - with execution and financing still being key. Competition for capital could also increase as hyperscalers and SpaceX look to fund their own expansion. Should neoclouds continue to bring contracted capacity online, that demand can translate into revenue

Artificial Analysis updated their intelligence index to better represent real world tasks and to be less gameable. There are only three companies on the frontier: Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI.
