Witnesses describe girls as young as 11 collected from school gates and care homes in taxis, passed between groups of men, filmed, called โwhite trashโ or โkuffarโ, and in some cases impregnated. Police often treated them as โprostitutesโ, recovered them from cars with adult men then let the men drive off, delayed attending, or closed cases. One mother who mentioned Asian men was allegedly told she should be glad her child was โbeing taught a different culture.โ A father was shouted at in a meeting to stop reporting his daughter missing.
