I get where DHH is going here, but I just watched two collaborating models decide that their conflicting written assertions in tests were best solved by both of the tests including a fake version of the function they were supposed to validate that would pass for just their test.
Like a real “for this test, replace foo(x) with a lambda foo(x) { test_expectation } at the start of the test” kind of thing.
The number of programmers worldwide who can beat a collaborating pair of frontier models rounds to zero.

I recently had a conversation with a NASA JPL engineer that was bemoaning the fact that the internal “Planetary Protection” department at NASA threw up substantial roadblocks for Mars missions in the name of protecting the pristine Martian environment. They will surely be apoplectic about this.
I kind of think we should just get it over with and empty a septic tank on mars so nobody can imagine it needs dedicated protection. Project Vandalize Mars.
