If you use Orbs for 5 minutes in @AmpCode you’ll wonder how you lived without them. And if you can get your whole company coding on cloud sandboxes, you’ll be 10x more capable than your competitors.
The trick is to convince others that this is the future, when for reasons, they can’t try a cloud sandbox. Anyone have tips? Any good presentations on this recently?
Since Astra has been released, I've been using Terra or Luna more than ever. If tokens were free, sure I'd use Astra for everything. I think it's broken a belief that "more is always better" with these models, which before has kind of been true.
I've been trying @AmpCode for about a week now, after being a pure @pidotdev user for many months. So far it's really good! I miss some of my workflows from Pi, but Orbs work so well! I mostly use it via iOS, then from the webapp.
Orbs might be the better solution for cloud agents but the on-ramp for an org might be hard compared to competitors. But for personal use it's great. I'm not sure though if a 'free bring-your-own-key' version of Amp makes sense, but it would help here. cc @thorston
ClickHouse + Postgres is an S tier combo that would be everything most companies would need. Smart that they also now host Postgres. Lots of very cool things coming!
I saw @deseretistan post about P2 displays and esp32’s and found it on aliexpress. Really cool idea and the display looks great. Very easy to start with too.
Besides football with @pollenrobotics Microduck, the other weekend challenge is to see how fast they can be trained to run. This will definitely not be something I'd run unless you have spare servos.
The next fun part with thinking of how to build a multiplayer game which won't cost me anything (at least costs $0 with zero players and scale based on usage, which will be limited to the twice a year "hey look what I built" moments). For this, I used fly.io. When you open the webpage, you can join a ongoing match or start your own match. This launches a server which auto deletes after everyone disconnects. And a cloudflare worker is the trigger for getting or starting a game.
