During the Annual Pre-Licensing Stakeholder Engagement with Gaming Operators ahead of the 2027 licence renewal cycle, our Board Chairperson, Mr @KitarikoKen, emphasised the importance of building a gaming industry in which compliance, responsibility and constructive engagement between the regulator and operators are part of everyday business.
The Chairperson reminded operators that licensing should not be viewed simply as an administrative requirement. A gaming licence carries significant legal, financial and social responsibilities, including operating lawfully and transparently, protecting players, safeguarding Government revenue and preserving the integrity and sustainability of the industry.
He particularly emphasised three expectations of operators: full compliance with the law and licence conditions; timely, accurate and complete reporting; and a strong commitment to Responsible Gaming and player protection.
Importantly, the Chairperson also reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to a predictable regulatory environment. Operators should clearly understand the standards against which they will be assessed, what information is required, the applicable timelines and the consequences of non-compliance. In return, operators are expected to consistently meet their regulatory, tax and player-protection obligations.
He also encouraged operators to engage candidly with the Board—raising practical compliance challenges, areas requiring clarification, emerging technologies and opportunities to improve regulatory processes without compromising the law or the integrity of regulation.
That spirit of firm regulation, predictable rules and open dialogue will remain important as we work together towards a gaming industry that is lawful, responsible, innovative and sustainable.

🇮🇷Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian ended his UN General Assembly speech with a direct message to US President Trump, warning that pressure on Tehran would strengthen resistance.
“He must know that the resistance of the Iranian people will only increase in the face of sanctions, increased pressure, increased bullying,” Pezeshkian said.
“We will never bow our head, or bend the knee,” he added.
Pezeshkian said Iran remains open to dialogue and negotiations but will not accept “the language of force.”

Today, 25th September, God has been merciful and blessed me with another year of life.
My mother told me that I was born on this day at "7 months" [Premature], at St. Kaloli Lwanga Hospital, Nyakibale, Rukungiri Municipality. Looking back, I can only say:- God’s mercy has carried me.
God has blessed me with wonderful family and friends across Uganda and more especially, with learned friends in the legal fraternity @ug_lawsociety @ealawsociety @JudiciaryUG, the State Advocates and the entire JLOS Sector.
God has also given me opportunities to serve his people:— as a Youth Council Member Kagunga SubCounty, Ass. Law Tutor at KIU, Honorary Secretary of the Uganda Law Society, member of several ULS and EALS committees, legal counsel to organisations, investment club leader and Deputy Chancellor of North Kigezi Diocese.
Through the Atukunda Education Trust Fund, I am now supporting over 30 children in Rukungiri District to access the Education opportunity God graciously gave me.
At my age of “omushaija yahamya,” as they say in Runyakitara, I remain grateful — and committed to serving humanity and adding my voice and effort towards building a Uganda [a Uganda that respects rule of law and Constitutionalism] our children and grandchildren will be proud to call home.
To everyone who has encouraged, supported, believed in or prayed for me, thank you. You make life worth living.
And to everyone who has sent a birthday shout-out: I truly appreciate you.

Why is a United Nations Under-Secretary-General Intimidating Witnesses in a Terrorism Trial
Why Is the Executive Director of the United Nations Aids Programme and a UN Under-Secretary-General running a smear campaign against, and doxing, the main witness in her husbands terrorism trial?
Why has her husband, Kizza Besigye, been refusing to attend court, and intentionally delaying his terrorism trial from starting? Why Are They, and their followers, Trying to intimidate the main witness so he will not appear in court for the trial?
What are they hiding from? Why are they avoiding court if they are innocent? Why are they afraid of the evidence? Are they afraid of the truth coming out?
Be assured, the witness is not intimidated, and be assured the truth will be told globally!
