Honestly, I did this for my country and have always been supportive of MAGA. I've never even came close to being monetized and this platform suspended me for over a month. So, with that being said....I expect fairness ONLY. X sent me a message stating that I did not violate any rules, but did not credit me the money I paid for this platform for those weeks. And that is what upsets me. Where are the stand up businesses? I would do anything to keep a customer. Those businesses are long gone now. Everything is about money. It's always about the money.
My last post was about visibility. This one is about what visibility actually costs.
Everyone is complaining about the same thing. In DMs. In comments. In their own posts. Reach is gone. Impressions are down. Nobody sees anything. Nobody is growing.
Look closer.
You barely see posts with hundreds of comments anymore. Thousands? Almost never. The reply section used to be the whole point. Now it looks abandoned.
Why?
They stopped rewarding replies.
If you got monetized almost two years ago, you already know the old playbook.
You lived it.
The fastest way to impressions was sitting under large accounts and answering. That was the job.
Reply enough, get seen, get paid.
That incentive is dead.
Nothing pulls people into the comments anymore. No boost for conversation. No extra distribution for talking back. A reply is just a reply. It sits there. Then it disappears.
So people stopped.
Not because they ran out of things to say.
Because the platform stopped paying them to say it.
That is the quiet part.
X is a social network that no longer rewards being social.
It still wants posts.
It still wants views.
It does not want the messy, human part in between: the argument, the joke, the follow-up, the thread that actually goes somewhere.
Kill the incentive to talk and you do not just kill comments. You kill the reason anyone stays.
Every post has a shelf life. Without a bigger account lifting it, it dies. Without replies being worth anything, the conversation dies with it.
Visibility is the symptom.
Conversation is the body.
They did not just change the algorithm. They turned the volume down on talking itself.
And then they act surprised that the room went quiet.
