A CITY COUNCIL IN IOWA JUST OPENED ITS MEETING WITH A PRAYER TO SATAN, AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I EVEN HAVE TO TYPE THAT. The invocation at the Ottumwa city council meeting reportedly ended with the words "Hail Satan." This is a small town in the heartland, not some coastal college campus. When a community starts letting the devil lead off its public meetings, something has gone badly wrong with the people running the show. Ottumwa residents deserve answers about how this got on the agenda and who signed off on it. Pray for that town today, because they clearly need it more than ever ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿ––Without Lucille Ball, there might be no Star Trek. In the 1960s, Lucy was Hollywood's most powerful woman. After divorcing Desi Arnaz, she ran Desilu, the studio they built together. In 1964, Desilu bought a pitch from a writer named Gene Roddenberry: a science fiction show set on a starship. It was a gamble. NBC rejected the first pilot. The show was expensive, and Desilu was paying a large share of the cost. According to Desilu executives, the board wanted out. Lucy reportedly overruled them. The strange part is that she may not have fully understood the show. According to Desilu executive Herb Solow, she and Roddenberry never met, and her picture of the show was at first very different from what it became. She backed it anyway. Years later, Desilu's finance chief Ed Holly put it simply: "If it were not for Lucy, there would be no 'Star Trek' today." The queen of sitcoms helped send the Enterprise into space.

I think this is the most overlooked story of 2026: Over 11,081 child victims have been located or identified by the Trump FBI so far. Over 5,072 child traffickers arrested. This is the real reason they hate Trump. He has done more to end child trafficking than any other.

Remember the time Ellen DeGeneres's ex-girlfriend supposedly died in a fiery car crash but then she sat up and wriggled out of the sheet covering her supposedly dead body while being loaded into an ambulance and then we never heard anything about it ever again? That was weird.

An attorney was REMOVED from a public meeting in Palm Beach County, Florida for wanting to speak out against an Islamic center being built in her community. Not only are they not giving us a choice on these matters, they're taking away our voices so we can't even encourage others to speak up too. Vote RED all the way down the ballot this November or this will only get worse.

Claudia Bismark was a beloved artist who lived in Fells Point for more than 35 years. She was 76. On Tuesday she went to breakfast with her husband. Charging documents say a man sat in the back of the deli and watched her husband pay in cash. When they left, he went out the back door and followed them. A few blocks later he came up from behind, knocked them both to the ground, and took a wallet with $150 in it. Claudia died Thursday. Her husband, Wade, was left with a concussion and facial injuries. The man charged is Montray McCray, 32. Prosecutors cited at least 5 prior convictions, and local reports list: * Guns * Drugs * Theft * Evading arrest * Violating a protective order * Retaliating against a witness * Court documents also list him as a lifetime registered sex offender. A lengthy criminal record. A lifetime sex-offender registration. And he was still free to walk into a market, pick out 2 victims over breakfast, chase them down and kill one of them. For $150. The judge held him without bail this time, and homicide charges are expected. A woman paid with her life. For $150. Her neighbors are the ones who helped identify him. Meanwhile, I couldn't find a word of national coverage. Only local Baltimore news has covered it. Baltimore, the least you owe Claudia is to make sure he never walks free again.
