Good morning ❤️
This is Antar, my beloved cat who was killed in the war when our home was bombed and collapsed on him.
When we were forced to evacuate our home, Antar was playing as he always did. He loved playing so much, and whenever he was scared, he would hide. That day, the bombing was terrifying, and he hid. We tried to find him, but we couldn’t.
We were staying at my grandmother’s house, and we were about to leave because the bombing was getting closer. They tried to pull me away and make me leave, but I refused. I kept searching for Antar until the very last minutes. I couldn’t bear the thought of leaving him behind.
Then I heard the sound of the warplanes and ran as fast as I could. Moments later, the house was hit.
I was struck by shrapnel from the missile. For a moment, I thought I was going to die. I spent more than a month in intensive care, and thankfully, I survived.
But Antar did not.
I still remember him and cry for him. He loved me so much, and I loved him more than words could ever describe. 💔
I survived, but a piece of my heart remained beneath the rubble of that house with Antar😭😭
