Υπογράψαμε σήμερα τη συμφωνία για την είσοδο του γαλλικού επενδυτικού ομίλου Meridiam ως πλειοψηφικού μετόχου στην εταιρεία Great Sea Interconnector (GSI), η οποία θα αναλάβει την ανάπτυξη του έργου της ηλεκτρικής διασύνδεσης Ελλάδας – Κύπρου. Πρόκειται για ένα έργο στρατηγικής σημασίας για την Ελλάδα, την Κύπρο και την Ευρώπη συνολικά. Η είσοδος της Meridiam στην GSI, μια εταιρεία ειδικού σκοπού που ιδρύθηκε από τον ΑΔΜΗΕ για την υλοποίηση του έργου, αποτελεί μια πολύ ισχυρή ψήφο εμπιστοσύνης στον ενεργειακό τομέα της Ελλάδας, στις τεχνικές δυνατότητες του ΑΔΜΗΕ και στη στρατηγική αξία αυτού του έργου διασύνδεσης. Παράλληλα, υπογράψαμε τη στρατηγική συμφωνία μεταξύ του ΑΔΜΗΕ, της GSI και της Nexans, ώστε να επιταχύνουμε την υλοποίηση του έργου, με πρώτη προτεραιότητα την ολοκλήρωση των ερευνών στον θαλάσσιο πυθμένα. Ενώνουμε τις δυνάμεις μας για ένα ευρωπαϊκό έργο κοινού ενδιαφέροντος, που ενισχύει την ενεργειακή ασφάλεια και τη στρατηγική θέση της χώρας μας.
