Today @WVSouthSudan team around the world join the Annual Day of prayer, marking the start of the Fiscal Year 2027 with renewed purpose, and deep commitment to serve. Our theme: God Loved the World, takes us to the heart of the gospel, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) In his sermon Bishop Dr. Isaiah Dau Majok reminded us that God's love is unconditional, and that it reaches us universally, communally, and individually. He encouraged us that being loved by God does not excuse us from our duty. It calls us to serve with even greater commitment. @WVSouthSudan's Country Director, @MesfinLoha reaffirmed our vision for every child. He noted that in the World of rapid change, growing needs and uncertainty, we must realign ourselves to serve the children of South Sudan more faithfully. He calls us to strengthen our trust in God and renew our commitment as Christ's ambassadors. The day also gave us a chance to honor the people who make our mission possible. We recognized colleagues in several categories such as years of service, extra milestone, steward, best Zone, best project and staff of the year We congratulate every awardee and thank all our colleagues, especially those serving on the front line, for their dedication to children and communities across South Sudan. We also committed #FY27 into the hands of the Lord, praying for Strength, Wisdom, Grace, and Favour. As we begin the new year, we are invited to live out God's love through kindness, forgiveness, compassion, and trust in Him. May this year be a year of faith, a year of unity, a year of service to every child. #Foreverychild #Lifeinallitsfullness #ENOUGH #ForGodsoLoved

Massive projects are completed at breathtaking speed, construction sites stretch across the horizon, and new buildings rise everywhere while old neighborhoods wait their turn. Addis Ababa is a city in perpetual motion. A giant has awakened & is determined not to sleep again.

"Sometimes I prayed not to feel pressed because of how far I needed to walk." That was Gebila's daily reality; her school had no latrine. With support from the South Sudan Humanitarian Fund (@OCHAFunds), @WVSouthSudan stepped in and built two blocks of latrines at Wunlem Primary School in Panyikang County, Upper Nile State. One for boys and one for girls, ending a circle of missed lessons for Gebila. Just a girl, finally free to learn: wvi.org/stories/south-sudan/…

As the world commemorates World Refugee Day, we remember millions of refugees, both in protracted displacement situations and those fleeing active conflicts, continue to require timely, appropriate, and dignified assistance even as humanitarian support struggles to keep pace with growing needs. In South Sudan, @WVSouthSudan, in partnership with @UNHCR, the Commission for Refugee Affairs, and refugee-led organizations, responds to ensure that refugees have access to essential services, opportunities for economic empowerment, and pathways to greater resilience. Together, we must continue creating safe and secure environments where refugees can rebuild their lives, strengthen their self-reliance, and pursue durable solutions for a better future. @MesfinLoha, Country Director, World Vision South Sudan.

In Rum-Marial Boma, Aweil East, I met Santo Gau Tong under a mango tree he planted 51 years ago. It now shades the community, a living truth of the proverb, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.” Every good effort counts. @WVSouthSudan

Humanitarian work in fragile and challenging contexts requires more sense-making. It is beyond situational awareness and a key guide to all responses, decisions, and engagements. Continuously discerning 'what-if' and 'so-what' questions is crucial. #HumanitarianLeadership

Together with our @WorldVision friends at #UNGA78, we kicked off their global campaign, and said ENOUGH to child hunger & malnutrition. The world has enough expertise, enough resources & enough capacity to end it – we just need the commitment to see it through. Let's get to it!
