Every drained wallet story I hear sounds the same.
A DM with a link. A support channel in Discord. A page that looks exactly right. A token swap in scam DEX. One signature nobody read. Gone in a single transaction.
The wallet was never the weak point. The account in front of it was.
So do the boring part. Turn for example 2FA on every dApp you are using when it offers it, on every PERP DEX, on platforms like
@UnifaiNetwork, on CEX exchanges, in your email account, in X and Discord. Every app that offers it, turn it on! Authenticator app or a hardware key, never SMS, because a SIM swap costs the attacker one phone call.
Then split your money. Stash on the hardware wallet that never touches a dApp. A hot wallet for LPing with an amount you can afford to lose. A burner for new tokens.
Then check what you already signed. Approvals from tokens you forgot about months ago are still live.
Security is not one purchase. It is 4 or 5 habits that take an afternoon to set up and then run by themselves.
DAILY HABITS
- Bookmark the real dApp sites. Never reach a dApp through a Google ad.
- Read what you sign. If the preview shows an approval you did not ask for, reject it.
- Revoke the old approvals you forgot about.
- Disconnect your wallet of every dApp you are not using.
- Never open a file or install a test build from a DM. That is how most people lose everything, not some genius exploit.
- Use burner wallets for new dApps.
- Keep your Seed-Phrase's in a safe place.
- Don't trust anyone on Discord and X!
