An aspect of the @flydubai story to note is Israel sent a pair of F-15 Eagles to find that plane.
1st That means Saudi let the F-15s enter their airspace.
2nd. The IAF may have been ready to down the flydubai aircraft were it a threat to the ground, in Israel or elsewhere.

The nationality of the Indian hero pilot on the @flydubai plane may have wider positive effects. India and Israel formed a strategic alliance, expanding the economic zone and even have a security aspect. The pilot’s heroism will surely be feted both in Jerusalem and New Delhi.

Al Arabiya is reporting that off duty flydubai crew members secured the plane and flew it to a safe landing. Flydubai says the motive of the attacker is not yet known. Updated 7:30 pm GST
