A solar quote for our roof didn't pencil out. Holes through the roof. A system you live with for about 25 years.
So I wrote the other version: one buried appliance for a house. Electricity and heat, day and night, meant to sit closed for 100 years.

I've been playing around with the design of a generating station for a single house.
An appliance producing 8 kW, steady.
Same size class as rooftop solar, except it runs when the sun is down or it's snowing.
Priced like home solar-plus-battery, once it is at scale.
Electricity, plus heat for floors, a tank, or a greenhouse.
Small. Safe. Buried in the backyard. Nuclear, of course.
Designed to sit closed for 100 years.
A playset can sit on the grass.
I may put the design out, or open source it. Not sure yet.

Just sent @aoxborrow three upgrades for DomBot.
• What you paid, in the currency you paid it
• A history when a name arrives, leaves, or sells
• Column names that stay put while you scroll
The stuff I wanted every time I opened the app. Here is what each one does for you today.
What you paid
Purchase date, amount, currency, and notes. Still there after Sync. Still there after Clear cache.
History
One list when a name arrives, leaves, or moves between your accounts. Sold asks for the date and amount. Dropped and Archive ask once. Those names leave Owned and show up under History.
The table
Column names stay visible while you scroll, including sideways. The row count and page buttons stay under the table.

Shipped my first contribution to DomBot, Aaron @aoxborrow's open-source domain manager: GoDaddy renewals now show your account's real rate instead of list price.
Early days but I like it. Connecting my other registrars next.

ok I made another domain portfolio manager, but different this time. DomBot.ai is a desktop app that syncs with registrar APIs, so it's a lot more powerful. It has local MCP so you can just tell AI what to do, and manage all your domains across registrars.
