Drone spraying available, especially for cereal, oilseed and legume farmers in northern Uganda, from our base in Anaka Town, Nwoya District. Several advantages, including for identified infestations of Fall Armyworm. Look forward to your questions and comments.

You can get 120 years out of a road If you maintain it. Consistently. With quality workmanship and materials.
GOVT COMMISSIONS SHS 191B KATONGA BRIDGE, DEMANDS 120-YEAR LIFE SPAN FROM ENGINEERS The Minister for Works and Transport, Fred Byamukama, has warned government engineers against substandard work following the commissioning and official handover of the Shs 191 billion Katonga Bridge on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The Minister revealed that technical experts had assured the government that the bridge was designed to last 120 years, warning that he would hold the engineers accountable if defects emerged before the stated lifespan elapsed. “Should I hear that there is any defect on this bridge before 120 years elapse, run away from the world because I will come for you,” he warned. The government expects the newly commissioned bridge to provide long-term service, underscoring the importance of quality construction and engineering standards in public infrastructure projects. 🇺🇬

Looking for a decent legal team (in the U.S.) to set up standard GP/LP structures. My existing law firm came back with something wild, so looking for alternatives. What does everyone normally pay for these docs?

Gone are the days when being pretty was enough for you to thrive in this world. Nowadays every pretty babe is out there hawking, vending or selling something just to survive. Babes are selling shoes, make up, spare parts, insurance, juice, curtains, carpets & gadgets. Kitabuse!

Wearing OSHA compliant safety boots or protective footwear instead of wearing a running shoe.
I’ve only been doing construction for about 5 yrs now after spending 25 in the bug business. I guess every biz has its hazards, but this one is constantly occurring to me. How do you long term construction guys prevent this?!?

What do you think about the next Treasury Bond auction?
This is the largest CBR increase in over 10 Years. We last saw a CBR of 12%+ in 2016. Lending rates at the time reached 25% on the official tracked data. Cost of Money just gone up in one single afternoon

I don't think he wants the rate to go higher. I think he wants the country to stop relying on imports so much and to try and produce more things in-house. As an example, Uganda imports Nescafe instant coffee (from Egypt). This is a tax-free import (exclusive of VAT/WHT/Infrastructure, but no import tax, since it is COMESA). USD goes out of country while cost stays the same (if BOU injects $$). Why not promote Ugandan coffee to drink fresh, instead of instant Nescafe? Not only does it taste exponentially better, but domestic consumption increases domestic cash flow - the more you consume, the more retailers, manufacturers, distributors, and laborers get cash in pocket and the more they spend locally. @JackieAkampwera @GKatabazi

Thanks for this... So he actually wants the rate to go higher so that Ugandans stop importing/ buying imported goods But.. We are not a self reliant economy. This means, even things as small as matchboxes are now going to go up so the short term pains are going to be HEAVY

Exactly what we do - except we build multi-family and commercial. Next step: Elimination of trucks and associated "tools" that the staff think they need. Subs are hired to finish work end-to-end. Manage time, budget, and quality.
My uncle subs out every single thing on his luxury home builds Foundation Framing Electrical Plumbing Finish work He just manages the process Does 8 to 10 homes a year at $5M each The person who coordinates everything Often makes more than the people doing everything

M7's rationale is that the weaker shilling works to the advantage of exporters. If they sell in USD, then the purchases will balance out the UGX locally allowing them to buy more locally with UGX (thereby increasing future exports). My thinking is that the rationale is that short/medium-term pain will be offset by long-term gains and long-term stabilization of the USD/UGX forex rate, instead of being propped up by the BOU cash injections. The real factor is to create stabilization and not let the currency run away. That's when BOU should step in.
Now that the dollar has crossed the 4,100 mark, can an economist explain to me why the governor advised that they release the country’s forex reserve in circulation and the president declined?

Free showers at Loves fuel stations
One of the smartest moves I've heard a business do happened at a 7-11. I noticed every-time I went there one could always see 1 or 2 police cars. I mentioned it to the clerk who told me that they give free drinks to any uniformed officer. Whatever they want: soda, coffee, tea, etc. For the cost of a drink ( and the cups cost more than the liquid on average ), they get free security. It was the safest gas station/convenience store in the area.

We don't just need more houses. We need to be allowed to build smaller houses on smaller lots. 1975: ~1,535 sf | $153/sf in today's dollars 2025: ~2,194 sf | $190/sf Adjusted for inflation, this is a ~24% increase in price per sqf. Guess what, adjusted for inflation, also increased ~24%? Real median household income. Zoning, minimum lot sizes and setbacks have helped regulate the starter home out of existence.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but we need to build a ton more houses or we risk Gen Z checking out from life. Just so many young people think it’s not even worth trying for the American Dream. When the mean house price is over $400k, we got a problem.

When someone tells me to "think like an owner", I immediately ask at what percentage will I be compensated.
One of my Gen Z coworkers has a routine that drives our CEO crazy. Every afternoon, around 4:50 PM, he starts wrapping things up, shuts down his computer, and at exactly 5:00 PM, he’s out the door. Not 4:59. Not 5:01. Exactly 5:00. What’s funny is that he’s just as precise in the morning. His shift starts at 9:00 AM, and he’s there before 9 every single day. The CEO finally called him into his office. He told him, “If you want to move up here, you need to stop thinking like an employee and start thinking like an owner.” My coworker asked, “What does that mean?”

Not being punished. It is a U.S. National Security risk to allow a very viral disease to potentially run rampant within the American borders. Therefore, if the host country is indicating this virulent disease is still active and is demanding/requesting money to fight it, then a sovereign country must protect its borders for national security concerns.
Uganda is committed ( and demonstrated capability) to pandemic control and governance @MichaelDDavisJr @KiberuJimmy. It should not be punished for it. This effort of course requires solidarity between health institutions and governments. That means sharing information and resources. If however this position is going to protect the health of Ugandans, its neighbours and the global community but hurt Uganda in other ways- perhaps we should reconsider the types of cooperation we offer to our so-called allies.
