This morning out of the blue, my Dot messaged me to tell me it was gonna start giving me a short morning briefing every morning and asked what time I wanted it. That’s EXACTLY the kind of proactive things I want my Dot to be doing! I want IT to be the one suggesting things it can do to help me, not always the other way around. Props to the Dots team @_samirism , starting to see some of those updates you mentioned coming through, and definitely appreciating them!

Anyone with complaints/issues with their ChatGPT Dots, now just tell your Dot what you want it to be able to do or fix and it’ll report it directly to the team! Big improvement here!
Replying to @_samirism
lastly, if you have more feedback on dots - you no longer need to yell at @thsottiaux ... you can just tell your dot directly what you want us to build or fix and it will make it to the team let us know what you think

I’m not sure who to vote for right now. Maybe if a candidate texts me from a # I don’t recognize that will definitely help make up my mind. Hopefully they do it every 15 minutes too.

Gotta take a second to call out how great the new redesigned “Pins” section is in Spotify. Great work @Spotify!

How hilarious would it be if OpenAI set ChatGPT to use combined chat/work as the default for all users (with double the usage like now) but gave all paid users the option to turn this off, but lose their doubled usage. That would be hilarious, everyone would be whining about wanting double the usage AND unlimited free chat mode.

This is freaking amazing! Seriously, everything about this is incredible! My favorite part is the lines from the zombies, “reset please” and “no brain, need reset”. Lmfao I freaking love it. Such a fun and silly showcase between @poteto and @thsottiaux, this is fantastic!
Day 28/ tibo's game has landed i spent $5.99 on this domain, but i had a blast making it with grok bot and cursor! i hope you enjoy it and find all the easter eggs 🤍 if i did it right you should be able to play it inside of X too tibo.dog

Is anyone using ChatGPT Spaces for anything that isn’t team/group related? If so, what’s your use case, and do you have any tips for things that make it more useful for you?

It’s crazy that up until today the Claude limits were called Max 5x and Max 20x, but only the Max 5x plan actually gave you 5x usage, but the 20x plan only gave you 10x usage (or 20x usage for the 5 hour window, which is now gone). How was that not a scam, or a way to make it seem like they provided the same usage amounts as OpenAI plans, when they didn’t? Crazy more people aren’t mad about this, when ChatGPT’s planned (and then canceled) Pro 200 usage cut down to 10x would have just matched their allowed usage with their competitor… So now even with the new names for the Claude plans (Max replacing 5x and Ultra replacing 20x) you were still getting less usage from Claude than you would from the OLD OpenAI plans… and now with the new OpenAI plans you technically get DOUBLE the usage of the same dollar amount plan from Claude. That’s just crazy.

The biggest callout I think from this is the following: "The Spec retains stronger defaults, such as approaching questions objectively. Users and developers can explicitly ask the model to take a particular perspective, but the model should not infer that preference merely from what it thinks they want to hear." I think all people need to be more objective about everything they come across, and the models supporting that be default is actually a much bigger benefit for society as a whole than I think most people will realize.
We’ve updated the Model Spec, our public description of how we want our models to behave. This revision makes clearer what we want from models as they take on more autonomous work in the world and become capable of helping us in new ways. 🧵 openai.com/index/updated-mod…

This might be the biggest OpenAI release of the 28 days (or even the year)!
Day 25/ We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today. We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage. And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.

This makes a lot more sense why it took so long versus their competitors, these plugins specifically work directly through iCloud, unlike competitors which need a device that’s always on to access these same sources. Bit complicated to set up initially, but also fantastic implementation and I’m so excited to have an official version of this, versus the one I built with ChatGPT a few weeks ago that works through my Mac. Now we just need Apple Reminders and Apple Notes support…. 🧐
Much requested, and now yours to connect: iCloud Mail and Calendar plugins are available in ChatGPT. Ask ChatGPT to find that email, catch up on your inbox, check what’s next, or update a calendar event. Phew. Available on all ChatGPT plans on web, desktop, and iOS.

It’s 2026: Apple has their own AI models, Multi-trillion dollar company, Arguably one of the biggest companies on the planet, Makes a phone that can fold in half. *you still have to plug in your Apple Watch to install any updates* (even though it has a longer battery life than all current iPhones) What are we doing here?
59
How did @bot get all these Apple integrations IN ONLY 2 WEEKS, and I’m still waiting for ANYTHING on this list (except location) from @ChatGPT? @thsottiaux @victornunez please add support for this soon, this is sorely needed on Chat and for Dots!

Gonna be honest, so far it seems like Grokbot and Claude Duet are a bit better than ChatGPT Dots, but also I think if OpenAI can afford to keep running Dots with Astra and have those Astra interactions not affect your overall usage, that’s gonna be a pretty huge with for Dots and OpenAI. All the other agent platforms always consume your available usage for anything they do, so that’s one thing Dots really has going for it right now.
50
Anyone else completely distrust reviews of any AI or Agent that has nothing but good things to say? I want to try Claude Duet, but almost every review I've seen is like beyond glowing, which makes me feel like they're definitely not actually being critical of the product. Anyone who is a ChatGPT Dots user tried using Claude Duet yet? Curious what real users think about how they compare.

Really hoping that the ChatGPT drop today is something big and not something only for API users, especially compared against Claude Duet. 😅

So I get that Opus 5.5 is great and everyone loves it and it’s in a league of its own, I get all that. However, has anyone who switched from ChatGPT missed all the other stuff that ChatGPT does so well, like the remote features, computer use, memory/dreaming v2, image generation, etc? I feel like almost of my entire life, work, and context is all in ChatGPT, it would take more than “Claude has a good model” to make me actually want to switch. Anyone who did go from ChatGPT to Claude, besides “Opus 5.5 is great”, how’s the rest of the Claude experience?
