Holy crap. Ok, so for those who feel we deserve more please calm down, I don't disagree however Trump has only been in office 30 days. Also, this is not going to increase the debt, it's a dividend, but if you still don't want it then donate it to hurricane victims who lost everything in places like Western N.C. because I'm quite sure they could use it. Lastly, no offense but unlike you, I trust the richest man in the world who's not only a genius who's built rocket ships and electrical vehicles, but has run several other companies for decades and knows what he's doing. My husband and I were just saying the same thing, paying off some debt. This country has suffered from 4yrs of out of control govt. spending as we're seeing right now, it would be an incredible gift to the American people who are really struggling right now.

Would be great for us as individuals but totally counterproductive for the country. $5k to every citizen would be a $1.73T cost to the government…way more than I think DOGE will be able to cut, effectively nullifying the whole initiative

In my opinion, this will be confirmed in the relatively near future. It is going to happen. All American taxpayers will receive a "DOGE" dividend. However, this is likely just the beginning. The American people deserve answers. Our tax dollars have been stolen. Perhaps, taxpayers deserve some type of massive refund, with interest. I believe that the issue of returning stolen money to the hard-working citizens of our country is being discussed. How about a one, two or even four-year tax holiday? @DOGE
