Stanford, CA
Make that 66 wins over the lowly Kal Bearz. The last game was utter dominance. The Axe is back home on The Farm.
Hey Kalgorithm, look who dominates the Big Game! Yes, your Stanford Cardinal. 65 wins. You have a ways to go.

In Jordan Somerville’s first media availability as Cal’s offensive coordinator, the 30-year-old mentioned having only called plays at the “12-U” level. Somerville also mentioned leaning on Nick Rolovich, as a first-time OC: “At the end of the day, I haven’t sat in this chair.”

This doesn’t mean anything except media contact runs through HC, just like Pritchard does for Stanford. Tosh said publicly he’s sticking with Somerville. Real signal will be to watch who’s calling plays in booth against UNLV.
A structure change in the Cal media schedule this week Before each prior game this season on Tuesdays, HC Tosh Lupoi, OC Jordan Somerville, DC Michael Hutchings and select players would meet with reporters For pre UNLV, it’s currently slated for just Tosh at the podium

This is a clown show. If I’m the Kal GM, I’m icing any more “look at us” promos and focusing on fixing my flailing football team. Besides, Kal lost more players to the portal than they brought in, so not sure what anyone will learn.

Great insight on OL adjustments. Prongos back at LT and Anderson at C helped give Davis 3.29 seconds on average to throw. Only one sack given up. Wake D has 10 sacks and 26 TFLs so will bring pressure.
Stanford's offensive line took a big step forward on Saturday. roundtable.io/sports/ncaa/st…

Apologies in advance to all of UNLV Twitter. Our offense has been so horrible and so demoralizing I’m afraid you will not be getting our normal standard of shitpost excellence as we’ve been focusing our energies on launching our O coordinator into a volcano.
Cal colonization starts now #calgorithm

Right-handed JKS drone show tells you all you need to know where Kal football invests its resources. What a waste of money.
JKS represented by drones as a righty says everything you need to know about the state of the program…

Of the 26 active possessions, the Cal offense moved the football 50+ yards only twice. 17 of the 26 drives went less than 30 yards. 12 of the 26 went <20 yards. 7 of the 26 went <10 yards. Cal has 7 red zone trips in FBS, tied for last among P4 teams that played 3 FBS games.
Results of Cal’s last 27 possessions vs FBS opponents: 11 punts 6 failed 4th downs 4 turnovers 2 missed FGs 2 TDs 1 FG 1 end of half

The comments from the Kal burners in this thread are absolute gold. We should recruit some of these guys to be Stanford accounts. I’m taking notes. :)
Cal offensive points, off script, without defensive help. UCLA: 10 points Syracuse: 7 Clemson: 3, and it required Cal’s 4th string QB and a TE to throw a pass. This isn’t an alarm, it’s a raging wildfire.

Stanford needs to pounce on the Kal offered recruits and commits who we want in our program. Strike while the iron is hot and while Kal is being Kal.
The Charles Davis news is a telling sign because he was on a visit to Berkeley yesterday. Reopening your recruitment after watching Cal play football is very worrisome.

Cal offensive rankings among P4 schools vs FBS opponents: Last in yards per play Bottom 5 in rushing yards per attempt Bottom 2 in passing yards per attempt Bottom 5 in passer rating Bottom 9 in completion rate This is a catastrophe.

Well said. All the pre-season BS marketing with Tosh sailing on boats and shaking hands with Newsom. Don’t speak before you have results. Stay focused, humble, and get better every practice.
After 41 years of going to Cal Football games, I can deal with the losing, god knows I’ve seen a lot of it. What gets me upset is uninspired and unimaginative football. Lots of hype, slick videos and slogans around this program. No substance or excitement on the field

Kal football: Cracks in the armor.
Replying to @alflorit
And their number one recruit just announced this morning, he is reopening his recruitment to other schools.

Sensed Warren’s potential preseason. Listen to his interviews. Watch his body language and interaction with teammates in Fall practice. Harbaugh liked Warren as a QB walk-on. He had the tools, mindset, and character to be a good QB. Warren’s talent is on full display.
Davis Warren is the best Stanford QB since Davis Mills and the first name is not a coincidence.

This right here. Honesty from a Kal fan. Had they not overhyped their team, disappointment may have been less acute.
I think my disappointment is more a reflection of how high my expectations were coming into the season, warranted or not
