Can you tell this isn't a native Mac app?
It's Avalonia. I spent a few days seeing how close I could get to a SwiftUI macOS feel, and I think it's pretty damn close.
Mac users, I'd love your honest verdict.

Yep, that’s what the license says.
Ian has strong opinions that arent uncommon with other developers. The argument he’s making is that maintainers have signed up to a long list of additional, unwritten obligations.
I think it’s wrong, and just entitlement 🤷♂️

All I wanted to know was what are maintainers moral obligations, how did Ian derive them, and why do his proposed obligations run so asymmetrically…

It has been explained several times that the OSMF projects are still open-source.
It’s not entirely unheard of that binaries carry a different license to the source. One example being Visual Studio Code.

The anticipation of knowing what’s coming, but not being able to talk about it, isn’t a feeling I’m used to.
We’ve typically shared stuff early. That’s not the case anymore. Things are secretly cooking over here, and the kitchen smells gooooooood.

I’m curious how it works with procurement. I assume the procurement team pester GitHub directly as that’s who they’re paying.
I personally wouldn’t get out of bed for $20 a month. Let alone deal with vendor onboarding!

I have a 1970s Fiat 500. It’s the perfect car for where I live (Italy).
The fun I have driving this is infinitely greater than any enjoyment I’d get from a modern car.

Our Avalonia 12.0 post as also removed as self promotion.
Ultimately it’s their space to moderate, but it should be consistent. The obvious inconsistency in who is allowed to self-promote is the reason I’d like some clarification.

The dotnet subreddit is truly a joke. The mods don’t respond to repeated attempts to clarify this.
The last few weeks have seen countless self-promoted posts remain up.
I posted our 12.1 release, and naturally, it’s removed.
There is zero consistency in their moderation.
