Is it time to pull the plug on Jacob Webb? He was great until he wasn't. The greatest disappointment of the season is the bullpen. Jed failed in that regard. Cubs bullpen has lost 31 leads and blown 25 saves.

Jed's firable offense is this year's bullpen. Wouldn't fire him, but this team would win 95 games with a lockdown bullpen. Starting pitching has been reasonably good. Hundred plus if it had two lockdown starters.

If the Cubs can't win the World Series, I'd like to see the Brewers win. They'd torpedo the storyline that small-market teams can't be successful in the postseason and the salary cap owners want.
