Yesterday I left work to help a 21-year-old girl I barely know get a job.
A friend knows the manager. I told him her situation. He said bring her.
So I closed early, picked her up, and went with her. I sat there and spoke for her.
Not because I wanted anything. Not because we are related. Her story just moved me, and I told her so.
