ALT The Zimbabwe Theatre Academy launched the Mitambo International Theatre Festival in 2019, and the festival will continue to run from September 26th to September 30th this year. Mitambo derives its name from the Shona word for play, which perfectly captures what the festival is about: A creative ecosystem where stories and visions are shared via the art of theatre. The Festival theme this year is CONVERGE! Theatre artists from around the world will come together, joined by the spirit of play, to share cultural experiences and ideologies with the people of Zimbabwe!
