I turned #threejs Cyberpunk scene into a game. 🚗💨 A big city to explore, drifting, missions, and a lot of crazy things to discover. And yes — it will be free to play. I’m building this as an experiment to see how far we can push game quality on the Web, while giving you plenty of reasons to spend some quality time in the city. More missions. More secrets. More details. Coming soon. 🌧️🌃 Watch the sneak peek. Sound on 🔈.

I’ve taken the #threejs water realism to the next level! Now with RGB distortion in the caustics, we get even more realistic, colorful light projections. The water movement has been improved to flow naturally, with optimizations for smoother performance. Plus, I’ve added a post-processing effect that simulates underwater distortion, complete with a dynamic waterline when the camera is partially submerged. After diving in, watch out for realistic water droplets on the screen! Stay tuned for the live link coming soon! 🌊💧. You can watch the video with better quality on my YouTube Channel. #threejsJourney #creativecoding #r3f

The #threejs Cyberpunk project just got an update! 🌧️ You can now take shelter from the rain and see water splashes, thanks to some amazing optimisation work by @sea3dformat using a GPUCompute-based collision system. A really cool technique with incredible performance. Come join us at @threejsconf and learn this and many other techniques at the #threejs TSL Workshop! 🎟️ threejs.paris/tickets

Some folks asked me about the difference between My Advanced Glass Material and the default #threejs Mesh Physical material using glass properties. Mesh Physical works great for most glass-like surfaces, but has a hard time creating multi-layered glass surfaces. With a Glass material that can see other glasses, you can create thick glass like the one in this example. The caustics also respond in real time, providing more realism to thicker glass objects. Launching after @threejsconf 😊. #r3f #creativecoding

Showing off two unique features of my #threejs Advanced Glass Material: colored caustics and glass-to-glass interaction. The glass can actually “see” other glass objects in the scene, preserving their depth, internal reflections, and refractions. The green color being visible through the blue glass shows the color and depth interaction. Powered by #WebGPU and a lot of custom rendering work that I learned on #threejsJourney new TSL lessons from the GOAT @bruno_simon Live demo coming soon. #creativecoding

SUPPORT 3D ARTISTS!!!
I don't understand why people are happy to spend $100 worth of tokens procedurally generating shitty 3D models when you can buy high quality, production-ready assets for a fraction of the cost. Support 3D artists!
