Throughout my 10 years here, I've had plenty moments of happiness, confidence, and elation.
I've also had moments of despair and anxiety that have lasted weeks and sometimes months.
I made a lot of money. I lost a lot too.
I've had thoughts like "maybe my family would be better off without me". I've had sleepless nights wondering if I'll fail my kids.
But I get up the next morning and I go back to work. I flip open my laptop and I get back on my phone. I research, I get on the phone and network with people in the industry. I join spaces. I interview people who are better educated and experienced in ways that I need to observe. I sharpen my tools. I stay hungry.
I wipe those negative thoughts from my head while I work because I HAVE to succeed. I will NOT fail my kids. I will NOT fail myself. I WILL go out on top.
There is NO alternative. There is NO option.
Make sure you convince yourself the same way. Do not accept failure, because that's the beginning of the end.
You're just getting started.
Go out there and win.
The end of my story won't be about me. It will end with my kids having a future they deserve. One where I built the foundation, then they elevated through their own fortitude and will to succeed. It's my job to lead by example.
This is my promise to them.
