I know this might be hard for some of you to hear - and I mean this in the most empathetic way I can in these circumstances - but there has to be a point where you realise that this game is not for you. I know it’s going to be hard to admit because I know how much time, money and emotion people put have into playing it but at the end of the day you need to remember: Love and Deepspace is an otome game, which means that there will always be a diverse cast of multiple LIs that cater to different tastes. On top of that, it is also a gacha game which means there is always a chance that you won’t get what you want because that’s just how gambling works. I’m not saying you have to like all of the LIs, I know everyone has their favourites, and I’m not telling you how you should be playing the game, but because of what the game fundamentally is you all need to recognise that you were always going to come across a character you might not be interested in getting to know. That is the reality, and you cannot force the game to be something it’s not simply because you don’t like what it has to offer. You may think that by removing Valko you’ve succeeded in doing that, but the fact that hundreds of thousands of people have protested his cancellation with many going as far as uninstalling the game and boycotting spending should tell you something. The noticeable decline in revenue only makes it harder to ignore that there is a significant part of the playerbase whose wishes and enjoyment matter just as much as yours. And I think this is where some people really need to reflect on their relationship with the game. If your dislike for a character is getting to a point where it is negatively affecting your mental health, causing you to do or support behaviour you would never otherwise consider acceptable in any other setting, then something has seriously gone wrong. If the very thought of a fictional character being reinstated into a game makes you miserable enough to insult strangers online with slurs, weaponise trauma, or actively seek out his content despite claiming you want nothing to do with him, then I think it’s time to reconsider where you put your time and energy. Because, like I said: you cannot force the game to be something that it isn’t, nor can you expect everyone else to sacrifice their enjoyment to accommodate your personal dislikes. Try to consider all of this before you start calling us the crazy, unreasonable ones.

Hello! There’s only so much I can do with this post, but I feel like I need to speak up about this as an artist in the LADS fandom. Artists are being targeted more than ever, and many are leaving the fandom because of the harassment. Honestly, this place was already toxic two years ago, whether there were 4, 5, or even 6 LIs. It could always escalate to threats, doxxing, and mass harassment. All because you’re not homophobic or racist, and you draw what you want. It’s awful that a game can become a reason for this kind of behavior. Artists are being silenced, pressured into not drawing what they want, or pushed out of the fandom entirely. People are forced to put up with this just to keep drawing the characters they love, fearing that their accounts will be mass-reported and years of their work will be wiped out. Of course, there are also so many wonderful people in this fandom, and they’re the reason I’m still here. People who appreciate and love art, support artists, and share positivity. So I’m reaching out to the reasonable side of this community. If you see this kind of bullying on Instagram or Twitter, please block and report these accounts. Be kind, and remember that we’re all human too.
