Every time I see this scene I'm reminded of the fact Tim Burton kicked a hole in a wall because Henry Selick wanted to reveal that Oogie Boogie was Dr. Finkelstein in disguise and he hated the idea.
THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS (1993) gives Jack Skellington one of his coolest moments when he casually drops “Hello, Oogie” right as Oogie Boogie thinks he’s won. The best part is Oogie’s immediate panic: “You must be double dead!”
