There’s an old saying the elders tell the young: “I’ve forgotten more than you ever knew.” The Jewish people have lost more than most nations have ever built. We are not just any people. We are one of the elders. We have outlasted empires that once thought they would last forever. Babylon. Rome. The caliphates. The Third Reich. They are chapters. We are the book. There are still only about 16 million of us in a world of eight billion. We have one small country we never stopped belonging to. The most widely read book in human history is a book about our people. We are loud. We are proud. And we will never apologize for still being here after so many tried to make sure we wouldn’t be. That is why some cannot stand us. Not because we are powerful. Because we survived them. Because their civilizations rose by the sword and vanished, and we are still lighting candles on Friday night. They say we have been hated everywhere, so there must be a reason. There is a reason. We refused to disappear. We refused to become someone else. We kept the names, the language, the land, the law, and the memory. Persecution is not proof of guilt. Survival is proof of spirit. Look at what this generation just did. On October 7 they tried to break us in a single morning. They murdered. They burned. They dragged our people into tunnels. For more than two years the world watched, argued, and often looked away. Some celebrated. Some explained it away. Some told us to be quieter if we wanted to live. We did not go quiet. We fought. We buried our dead. We brought the living home. And in January of this year, the last hostage was returned to Israeli soil. Not one of ours was left behind in Gaza. That is not a talking point. That is who we are. A people that does not abandon its own. When you look into the eyes of those who came back, you see what 3,000 years looks like in a human face. Starved. Beaten. Still unbroken. They carry the same fire that walked out of Egypt, out of Spain, out of the camps, and out of the ashes of the kibbutzim. We are not the colonizers of this story. We are 16 million people who came home to the only land that was ever ours, and we built a country that values life in a region that has too often worshipped death. We did not convert continents at sword-point. We did not erase nations to plant our flag. We wrote. We argued. We remembered. We returned. The more they try to erase us, the more tightly we hold each other. Diaspora and Israel. Secular and religious. Left and right. The hate was supposed to scatter us. It keeps welding us back together. All we have ever asked of this age is the same thing we asked of every age before it: stop trying to make us extinct. Even if they succeeded, it would not unwrite us. You cannot delete the people who gave the world the idea that every human life has worth. You cannot burn the book and pretend the story was never told. Those who built their identity on our death will be remembered as a stain. We will be remembered as the ones who chose life. So here is the choice, again, in 5787. Keep feeding a holy war that has already eaten its own children. Or stop. Choose differently. Coexist. Take the wisdom we have carried across continents and millennia and build something that does not require our graves to feel righteous. History already wrote the ending of the other path. Rome is ruins. The Mongols are a lesson. The Nazis are a warning. We are still here. We are the Nation of Israel. We remember where we came from. We brought our people home. And we are not going anywhere. עם ישראל חי.

In principle, @macklemore could perform in the "West Bank" (Judea & Samaria). Artists have performed there before. Of course, that would mean travelling through Israel and actually seeing the country with his own eyes, which risks distorting his current worldview. Israel would also have to be a little more lenient with the checks so the whole process doesn’t take too long to organise. So yes, it’s absolutely possible for him to perform in a Palestinian Authority controlled area. He can spread his "message" and perform his "hits", especially "Same Love", the song about accepting gay people. So WHY won’t he do it? What’s stopping him? What is he afraid of? Surely it would make the most sense to host a "free Palestine" concert in "Palestine", right??

Imagine a country where someone protesting the arrival of illegal migrants throws a plastic bottle at a police officer and, within days, is sentenced to two years in prison. In that same country, there are cases where illegal migrants have raped women, ended up in court, and barely been punished because even the judge says they shouldn’t be treated too harshly because of a language barrier. That country is the UK.

That's their plan! Go soft and desensitize the victims making them complacent. It ramps up quickly and volumiously to overwhelm and incapacitate any opposition to their plans and agenda. If you don't stand - you fall!

We (the rational people of the world) have the tools to stop this but like in 1939, we waited until six years later at the cost of 50 million lives including six million Jews. The word “genocide” was coined to describe the Holocaust because there was no other word to explain what happened in the killing fields in Ukraine and the extermination camps in Poland. Now, the inheritors of the evil that started World War II, the modern Nazis in Hamas, IRGC, Hezbollah, the Free Palestine movement, have taken this language and inverted it, turning the genocidal perpetrators of Gaza into its victims simply by saying so. The fact that they started saying “Gaza genocide” while the hostages of Hamas, men, women and children, were being paraded through the streets of Gaza City and Khan Yunis, being beaten and spit on by ordinary Gazans (and in more than one case of being shielded by Hamas from being lynched by these “innocent” Gazan civilians) shows that the “Gaza genocide” was a lie from the get go, a propaganda slogan invented to describe a war inside Gaza that had yet to begin. But here’s the biggest differences. In other so-called genocide the victims truly were innocent. The Jews of Europe, the Armenians, the Christians of Darfur, the Cambodians, the Tutsis of Rwanda, hadn’t done anything to justify the violence that was inflicted upon their communities. This is not the case with Gaza. 10/7 is all you need to know. And the perpetrators of the Holocaust, the Armenian genocide, the killing fields of Darfur, Rwanda and Cambodia had the intent to destroy an entire people. Israel could have committed genocide in Gaza. It had the means. It had the ability to kill every man, woman and child living there. And it could have done so in less than a month at the cost of very few if any lives of its soldiers. It chose not to. It took every reasonable precaution to reduce civilian casualties, often causing death and injury to IDF soldiers. It brought two million tons of food. It vaccinated Gazan children. It did everything in its power to reduce the deaths and suffering of ordinary Gazans despite their complicity in the atrocities of 10/7. If anything, a new word needs to be coined to describe Israeli actions in Gaza and it should be the exact opposite of genocide.

About sixty people in red suits sat down on the tracks into Hamburg’s port, chained themselves in place, waved a Palestinian flag, and stopped at least twenty trains. They said they were protesting a NATO exercise. They excused it by also saying that the port ships weapons to Israel. And that’s the tell. There’s no demonstration left in Europe that doesn’t require a keffiyeh and a flag that has nothing to do with the original excuse. Ende Gelände, the radical left group, got what it came for. The railway yielded. The police arrived later, in formation, and peeled them off one at a time like a cleanup crew after a spill. That’s not standing up to it. That’s administering it. The country treated a blockade of its own infrastructure as a costume party that had to be waited out. This is what the place has become. A few dozen activists can shut a port approach, wrap the act in Palestine, and leave with the point made that if you sit on the rails long enough, Germany, or France, or Italy, or Britain, will stop the trains before it stops you. These things aren’t protest in any serious sense. They’re a trial run at holding a country hostage. It starts with “protests”. It starts with trains and campuses and ports. It doesn’t stay there. The same flags and the same keffiyehs move from the rails to places where the people in the way can’t get up and walk home. If a state won’t clear a blockade the hour it starts, charge it, and refuse to bargain with it, then the public is being trained to accept the next stage. People who will not learn that now will learn it the much harder way, when the protests become innocent blood spilled in the name of the same flags, wearing the same keffiyehs.

In late 2004, a gas canister blew in her home and burned her badly. Israel took her into Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, treated the wounds, and sent her home with permits to come back for more care. In June 2005 she used those same papers to try to get through the Erez Crossing. Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah (Mahmoud Abbas’s group), had given her three targets to choose from… a bus, a cafe, or the hospital and doctors that had treated her. She chose the hospital. She later said she wanted to kill dozens of people there, INCLUDING CHILDREN. Guards noticed her awkward walk. They pulled her aside, so she yanked the detonator. But it failed to detonate. Sappers later blew the belt in a controlled explosion. The IDF arrested her at the Erez Crossing, and a military court gave her twelve years. Then Palestinian television did what it always does with these people. It praised her. It thanked her for the sacrifice. It thanked her for wanting Jews dead. In 2011 Hamas traded hostage Gilad Shalit for more than a thousand prisoners. Yahya Sinwar walked out in that deal. So did she. The next day children were brought to her house in northern Gaza. She told them she hoped they would walk the same path, and that Allah willing some of them would become martyrs. The kids cheered. She said the button had failed at the last second and she was sorry she had not been martyred. Years later she was still saying she would do it again in a minute, that she had almost tasted paradise, and that killing Jews at the hospital that saved her was her calling. That is who came home in the Shalit deal. Not a girl who made a terrible mistake. A woman the society sent, celebrated, and then handed back to the same children. Watch the video. This isn’t resistance. That’s a patient trying to murder her doctors who saved her and as many civilians and children as possible, and a Palestinian society calling it holiness. The people who sent her weren’t some mystery faction in a tunnel. They were Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades. That is Fatah. Then the Shalit deal sent her home with Sinwar and more than a thousand other prisoners. She didn’t come back sorry. She stood in front of children and told them to become martyrs. She said she almost tasted paradise when the bomb failed, then said she’d do it again. @LelandVittert was a Fox correspondent in Jerusalem when he went into Gaza after the Shalit deal to interview her. He later told the story on @bariweiss’s show and at NewsNation. This is what he heard from her own mouth, and he realized the truth too many in the world refuse to even listen to never mind accept.

They wanted justification for their 'resistance' narrative. The Jews are the example of what is supposed to be in store for the Sunday people and then the rest. You either capitulate or end up the same as them. The problem is they keep losing the wars they start - insanity? You're correct, the IDS that pervades the West causes them to have selective agenditis, they hear what they want to hear NOT the FULL message, which will be their end and wonder how did it happen?

The word genocide was never meant, in this war, to be a label for what Israel was doing. It was built as a shield. The Holocaust was an actual genocide. Jews talk about it because it happened, and because they have no intention of standing in that line again. What is happening in Gaza was never a genocide. The people pushing the word never needed it to be true. They just needed an alibi. A cover story that would let Islamists finish a job they already say they will finish, and walk away calling it resistance and justice. Enough of the world has agreed to play along. Why they chose that path doesn’t even matter, because they chose it. They didn’t leave a lane in which Jews are allowed to win and still be innocent. That’s what closed the other doors. This war now ends in one of only two ways, and they will reach for the same word either way. One ending is a real genocide. The Jews gone. Sixteen million people erased. The world calling it a tragedy and then calling it justice. The other ending is the death of the Islamists who have said, in the open, that this is what they intend to do. That one is a war, but the world will still call it a genocide. What the world is refusing to see is that the Jews aren’t the last name on their list. We’re merely the first. The statement. Wipe out the smallest people who will not kneel, hold the result up to everyone else, and wait to see who still wants a fight. We are the Saturday people. After Saturday it has always been Sunday. Jews don’t get a clean verdict in this room. The dice were intentionally loaded before the first shot. The judgment was written before anyone bothered with evidence. So the choice left is the same ugly choice it has always been. Die, or win the war for your own survival and wear their caption anyway. During World War Two, Jews were forced to wear a yellow Star of David. Today we’re forced to wear their accusations and their lies as that yellow star. Heads we lose. Tails we lose. We’re not rolling the dice for their approval. We’re rolling them just to stay on the board. To survive. I’m not interested in people preaching prophecy at me. G-D isn’t coming to save the day. G-D is testing us. He’ll let this play out, not only to see whether we fight for our own survival and return to him, but to see who will fight to help us live and who will stand there, do nothing, or join the attempt to wipe us off the earth. He will let many of us die. He’ll let many of them die. That’s the test. Humanity has always needed a shock this large before it looks at itself. Before the Holocaust there was the Armenian genocide. That wasn’t the last one. After the Holocaust the world watched Sudan, Yemen, Syria, and Somalia, and then it simply “forgot.” After 9/11 there was a shock, and within a few years the world simply “forgot” again. After October 7 the world didn’t even forget. It just spent every day since denying it. The prophecy was never that every Jew survives and the credits roll. The prophecy is that the world turns on the Jews and a great many Jews die. Only at the point where extinction is almost done does He step in. Not before. Not as a rescue service for people who spent the war waiting. Judgment is indeed coming for billions, and it won’t be the judgment they’ve been counting on. Half the world is trying to exterminate the Jews. The other half is watching and waiting for G-D to save the day. He doesn’t. He’s the judge at the end of the story, not the knight in shining armor nor the messiah returning. Not many are going toward the light.

She is sitting on television telling the story like it is a pleasant memory. She was on a bus. The radio said a suicide bomber had walked into the Sbarro restaurant. Three dead. She admits she was disappointed. She had wanted a bigger number. Two minutes later the radio said five. She tried to hide the smile but couldn’t. Praise Allah, she says. It was great. Around her the other passengers started clapping as the count went up. They didn’t know she was one of the bombers. On the way back they went through a Palestinian police checkpoint and the officers were laughing. One of them put his head in the window and said congratulations to us all. Everybody was happy. That’s not some fighter in a tunnel. That’s a woman on a bus, and the police of the Authority waving them through with a blessing. The world still talks about a peace process and a state as if this were a border dispute that ran long. You don’t hand a flag to a culture that treats a restaurant full of families as a scoreboard and then thanks Allah when the number moves. This is what they are. This is what they celebrate. This is what they want to reward.

They call it a colonial fairy tale and a 20th century invention because the alternative wrecks their whole script. An enemy king in the ninth century BCE carved the House of David into stone so he could boast about defeating it. A Moabite king did the same with the House of Omri. There are palaces and ivories in Samaria, a fortified Judahite city at Qeiyafa, and a massive structure in Jerusalem that only exists if someone was actually ruling from the hill. That’s rival kingdoms writing Israel into their own records. It was not a KGB project and it was not invented in 1948. The people who left those stones came back to the same hills and made a desert produce food, cities, and a country. That’s what happens when the true people of the land return to the place they never stopped belonging to. The Jewish people are written in the stone, in the temples, in the scriptures, in the papyrus, in the ancient coins, and in same prayers that have been spoken by its people in this same language on the same land for over 3000 years.

The man next to Stalin, then gone Some of the most powerful people never stand in front of the crowd. They stand one step behind. They sign the orders. They set the numbers. The public never learns their name until it is too late. Sometimes the public never learns it at all. Nikolai Yezhov was that kind of man. From 1936 to 1938 he ran the NKVD, Stalin’s secret police. For about two years he was the second most powerful man in the Soviet Union. He was short. People called him the Bloody Dwarf. He was not a movie star. He was not a speechmaker. He was a manager of death. In July 1937 he signed Order 00447. It looked like paper. It was a killing plan. Regions got quotas. This many to shoot. This many to the camps. The targets were former kulaks, criminals, and other anti Soviet elements. That phrase could cover almost anyone. The job was supposed to last four months. It lasted more than fifteen. Local bosses asked for higher limits. Moscow said yes. About 767,000 people were sentenced under that one order. About 387,000 were shot. At the same time came the national operations. Poles. Germans. Latvians. Finns. Greeks. People whose only crime was a name, an old job, or a relative abroad. About 335,000 were arrested on those lines. About 247,000 were shot. The Polish line alone killed about 111,000 people. The public saw show trials. Old Bolsheviks on stage. Confessions. Headlines. That was the theater. The real work happened in rooms with three men: a police chief, a party secretary, and a prosecutor. They were called troikas. No defense. No appeal. Lists called albums went to Moscow. A signature. Then a basement at night. Yezhov visited Stalin’s office hundreds of times. He carried the numbers. Stalin stayed in Moscow and watched. Then, when the country was broken enough, Stalin no longer needed him. In November 1938 the mass arrests stopped. Beria took the job. Yezhov resigned. In April 1939 they arrested him. They used the same methods he had used. In February 1940 they shot him in a small killing room he had helped design. He asked them to tell Stalin he would die with Stalin’s name on his lips. After that they erased him. There is a photo from 1937. Stalin stands by a canal. Yezhov stands next to him, small, in uniform. Later versions of the same photo show only Stalin. The water is empty where a man used to be. That is the lesson. Power behind the scenes does not need fame. It needs access, paper, and fear. It needs a boss who can later say it was him, he went too far. The name Yezhovshchina, the time of Yezhov, did that work. It put the Terror on one man’s shoulders. The quotas, the extra limits, and the lists Stalin signed stayed in the shadows. So when you see only the face in front, ask who stands just behind. Ask who writes the order. Ask who can be cut out of the picture when the job is done. History does not only hide victims. It hides the clerks of power, until the same machine eats them too.

A rocket needs a buyer. A tunnel needs concrete. A fighter needs a wage. October 7 was not funded by speeches. It was funded by people who knew how to turn Iranian money, Qatari money, Turkish money, Saudi money, EU money, UN money, and dirty cash into something a commander in Gaza could spend. The West spent years pretending those offices were just “economic activity.” Israel spent the war taking the offices apart. Follow the money was never a metaphor. It was an instruction.
