A person approaches a toy machine, pays a fee, and tries to win a prize. Behind this familiar entertainment lies a business that earns revenue from visitors every day. It was this source of income that intrigued me about PLAY from
@DualMintRWA.
DualMint transfers revenue from these machines on-chain through Solana. The PLAY model is designed for a fleet of 200 toy machines, and participants receive access to their operating income through monthly payments.
Each individual paid game generates a small amount. At the fleet level, these payments generate revenue, which supports the business and serves as the basis for payments. I like that here the origin of the money can be explained through the simple action of a person coming to play.
In this model, the hardware and the blockchain have their own purposes. The machines operate in physical locations and serve visitors. Solana allows the financial part of this activity to be transferred on-chain and the revenue distributed among
$PLAY participants. Participants do not need to install or maintain the machines themselves.
The project is targeting a return of 12 to 15% per annum with monthly payments. This is a target figure; actual results may vary. It's based on the business's work, so I view this figure as a guideline rather than a predetermined income promise.
Preliminary deposits opened on September 22. The fundraising goal is approximately $230,000. You can now explore PLAY terms and conditions and understand how participation in this model works.
For me, projects like these make the concept of machine finance much clearer. You can see the hardware, understand what its users are paying for, and trace the connection between daily revenue and on-chain payments. It's the development of this connection that I'm interested in following.
