That means your Assembly should be dealing with things like waste collection, public cleaning, drains and enforcing sanitation rules. Your Assembly Member represents your area at the Assembly. The MCE/DCE heads the local administration responsible for getting much of this work done. So yes, hold national government accountable for national policy and funding but if the rubbish outside your house hasn’t moved for three weeks, learn the names of the people running your Assembly too. We cannot hold people accountable if we don’t even know whose job it is 👍🏾
