Such a legacy. I had the honour of meeting Olga and was so interested to hear her memories of the school and of former teachers. Her fondness for Mr Bradshaw was lovely to hear as a mathematician @verulamschool @VerulamMaths #VerulamForLife
We celebrate the 99 year life and service of Olga Hopkins, Verulam’s first female teacher. The Hopkins Study room honours Olga’s service in the WRAF and Verulam, and the originator of the title “Ma’am” for all female staff since! stalbanstimes.co.uk/st-alban… #verulamforlife

Last STEM club session before the break so we thought we’d make some slime and snow. Interesting Christmassy colours of slime and surprisingly successful snow with baking soda and shaving gel! ❄️ @STEMLearningUK @verulamschool @VerulamMaths @VerulamScience

It’s brilliant to work with such enthusiastic and focused students! Our next project is go-cart making - if anyone can help us with materials we would be very grateful 🙏 @verulamschool @VerulamScience @VerulamMaths @STEMLearningUK
STEAM Club got the trebuchet working today! Loved watching their hard work pay off and even hearing the ideas on how to improve it next time!

Our scatter graph was looking fantastically colourful by the end of the evening yesterday!
Question - is it better to be above or below the line? 🤔

A huge thank you to Jacob for giving up his time to support the @albans_cc under 9 boys.
When spending time over the summer hols volunteering becomes worth it 🤩 Another entry on the #UCAS form is useful but volunteering is so much more than that. #helpingkids #coaching #futurepeteacher @Verulam_PE @Verulam6thForm
