Happy wife and mom to eight. Little free time but who can complain? I hang by a thread but it’s most secure. Because it’s spun by the hand of Christ most sure.

Durango, CO
My homeschooled daughter ran a dog breeding business from the ages of 15-20. She did the marketing, medical oversight, and all the welping. She worked with our clients and even followed a puppy stimulation protocol to help them develop their brains. Homeschool is the real world.
I met a 17 year old homeschooler that had his own business for lawn maintenance. He owned a truck, two trailers, deck mower, push mower, trimmer, blower, pressure washer, and various other tools. He was in college, studying digital marketing, designing his micro home on cad software and working on his real estate license. I had him come over to cut my grass once and he upsaled me for pressure washing my deck and cutting my grass for next season. This is what homeschoolers do.

This is a tremendous win for Colorado, even if other things failed... Amazing and encouraging!
The triple victory for kids is the biggest win I’ve ever experienced. The second biggest is this fair & favorable news story from 9 News. This is how we KNOW that @ProtectKidsCO has shifted culture. We are on offense now. 💪🏼

Men, what your wife would love it if you got a Christmas read-aloud and read it to your kids every night... Noel Night is an easy read, I wrote it with parent's in mind, no 30 min chapters, no difficult passages, just fun, wholesome, pointing to the light: a.co/d/01jpzPTf

Inconsistency, on the part of the parent, is usually the root issue with early childhood behavior issues. Aspire to be so consistent that your child puts themselves in time out when they know they are in the wrong. 🤣

You don’t fear God enough: “His sneezings flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the dawn. Out of his mouth go flaming torches; sparks of fire leap forth.” Job 41:18-19

The situation with the woman who requested MAiD because she couldn't cook for her family is tragic, not because she was incapable of this task, but because she failed to raise children able to cook for her. A metaphor for our times. Mothers, imagine the future. Work towards it.

Parents, how do you expect your young child to obey you if you won’t even obey God’s instructions on how to discipline them without instantaneous results? Some obedience requires constancy over a long period of time to see its good fruit.

Trying to get new homeschoolers to believe this is trying. There is no one size fits all, all inclusive curriculum. It’s much better to pick and choose the best for each subject and trust the results with quality books and resources.
Some homeschoolers are impressed by a turnkey curriculum by the volume of workbooks thinking that it’s an indicator of “rigor”. This is also true for the curriculum builders thinking that voluminous work is a positive selling point. However, when we teach to mastery, much of these products become overkill and boring busywork. Rigor is precision, thoroughness, and accuracy - not volume.

It’s better to look old than get “work done” and look like an alien. Just remember that when your vanity lies to you.

Most of my grandparents and great grandparents died in dingy nursing homes. I don't want to let that happen to my parents. How do we recover something that used to be natural to us... generational family life?
This is a symptom of a bigger problem We all know it Read my article about it 👇🏻 Boomers Take Hostages to Protect Their Social Security mhert.substack.com/p/boomers…

My teen put on a generally appropriate show for my 9 yo who is not feeling well, she said, "I can't watch this, it has gay stuff in it... you know, 'follow your heart'..." and now we know that she is learning to connect ideology to the outcomes...

The point of literature is to cultivate imaginations that perceive the self and the world obediently. There. I said it.

Did you know that the pelican has been an old symbol of Christ? Why… because it was believed that a mother pelican would pierce her own breast to feed her blood to her dying chicks. Might mothers today emulate this kind of sacrificial love for their children!

I’m almost 47, I don’t know how others perceive me… I have 8 children and the scientific evidence suggests that when you have children later in life that you have a greater chance of living to 90. My 2 yo certainly has energized me… I’ve got to live a long time!
I'm 56 but look 15 years younger. The reason I look so good? I don't have children. Before the inevitable pile-on begins, there IS evidence that having kids turbocharges ageing: INGE VAN LOTRINGEN trib.al/WZ7yYs7

This article misrepresents available scientific evidence. Studies suggest that women who have 2-3 kids are healthiest in old age. In particular, having one or more sons is associated with lower dementia risk among women. nypost.com/2026/03/15/hea… womensbrainhealth.org/think-tank/thi

To empathize or desire mercy for the guilty is to hate the victims and justice. “Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever; let them perish in disgrace, that they may know that you alone, whose name is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth.” - Psalm 83:17-18
Imagine if REAL victims got as much sympathy as 'misunderstood' criminals.
