The Trump administration is illegally withholding $73 million of crucial federal highway funding for New York in a senseless attempt to pressure New York to revoke certain lawfully-issued Commercial Driver’s Licenses. This pre-approved funding is essential to keeping New Yorkers safe as they travel to home, school, and work.  I am grateful that @NewYorkStateAG and @GovKathyHochul are fighting to restore funding for our roads and bridges.

The Penn Station renovation project will be a multi-billion dollar investment in our community, using New Yorkers' tax dollars, and the Trump administration has failed to provide any of the necessary details–no public hearings have been held, and no cost estimates have been shared. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to improve the busiest transportation hub in the United States. But the Trump administration is grossly mishandling the process by conducting backroom negotiations without public oversight. I am honored today to lead New York elected officials and advocates demanding a transparent rebuilding process for Penn Station with strong public oversight.

This month, @NASAHubble turned 36. Sitting in low Earth orbit, it's given us 36 years of images like this one that make the universe feel a little less unknown. Also, I hate to admit it, but my brother had something to do with that. @StationCDRKelly flew on STS-103 in 1999, a mission that serviced and upgraded Hubble. Hubble is still going strong and providing images and data that continue to advance our understanding of the universe.

The War Department is once again restoring freedom to our Joint Force. We are discarding the mandatory flu vaccine requirement, effective immediately.

The events of Saturday night were horrifying. It is difficult to believe that this is the third time President Trump has faced an assassination attempt. I am thankful for the many law enforcement officers who responded, in particular those who secured the shooter before he could harm the president or anyone else at the event. Political violence is never the answer, and it must end.

Border security and immigration enforcement are crucial functions of government. They are essential to maintaining public safety. Democrats have opted not to fund them. At all.

It was great to see former Senator Pat Roberts for a long-overdue unveiling of his official @SenateAgGOP portrait. I consider myself deeply fortunate to have served with him, and I can think of no one more deserving of having his time as Senate Agriculture chairman recognized.
