The film currently sits around 87% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics, with audiences even higher at 96%, while Metacritic has it in the positive range.

What if I told you Grandma and Grandpa already built a railroad from San Francisco to Seattle? It does not go a million miles an hour like those Japan trains, but it is better than anything Gavin Newsom has accomplished. I just rode the Pacific Northwest Coast Starlight from San Francisco to Seattle and it was beyond beautiful to see America high up on the mountains from a train track. The train itself was super cool and had an abundance of breathtaking views of the mountains, forests, and rivers. Watching the sunset and sunrise in Northern California, Oregon, and Washington never gets old. I did not mind that the trip took extra hours, maybe even a day longer than the fastest option, because it was such a great experience that I never wanted to get off the train. The seats were roomy and relaxing. They reclined backwards and it was easy to fall asleep. You arrive at the next destination feeling refreshed and energetic, ready to take on the world. I hope to inspire my generation to take the long way via boat, bus, car, or train. To inspire others to take the road less traveled is a good thing. God knows I would rather watch the land change slowly over time from the ground. That level of patience cannot be taught.The restaurant on board was great. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A candle. Flowers in a vase. White tablecloth and fancy cutlery. The fork, spoon, and knife were all lined up and I put a napkin on my lap. All of this taking place while the train subtly rocks back and forth like a boat on the water. They also have a bar where you can buy wine and beer, as well as a snack bar that has all the candy and munchies one would ever need. You can get up and walk around and experience different things. On the train, you smile and say hello to your fellow travelers. Everybody is in a positive mood and nobody is cramped or confined into tight quarters And then you have all the great people traveling back and forth. Beautiful people who are passionate about where they are going and even more passionate about where they came from. It felt like such a great American experience just to be able to talk to all the backpackers, bicyclists, campers, tourists, historians, and elders who were all wonderful, amazing human beings, each with their own stories and journeys through Washington, Oregon, and Northern California. There is so much adventure waiting in the Pacific Northwest and we already have this excellent coastal train with some of the most beautiful views in the world. Our grandparents already built this railroad, and the train is still great.Billions were wasted on that high-speed rail train to nowhere. Gavin Newsom was supposed to connect San Francisco with Los Angeles but he did not do shit. How fortunate it is for West Coast families that we already have something that works. A working railroad beats a failed, non-existent billion-dollar high-speed rail every time. AND THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST COAST STARLIGHT TRAIN is already GREAT, so imagine if the fifteen billion wasted on California’s failed high-speed rail project had been spent on the Coast Starlight instead. Gavin Newsom and the Democrats poured that money into a political project that never delivered, while a real working train already runs this coast every day and could have benefited from such investment. That is why so many people are tired of the leftist bullshit. They lecture about progress, then wreck budgets, delay projects, and leave regular travelers with excuses instead of results. Thank GOD for Grandma and Grandpa who already built this great PNW Coastal Starlight Train. Emeryville was cute but Seattle’s King Street Station, with all of its marble, granite, and green trim, was super elegant and beautiful. Seattle was giving Moscow a run for its money. I know Amtrak trains in the South, like in Los Angeles, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and other parts of the Bible Belt, can feel dirty and run down without any sense of dignity, and they are, but the route from Northern California through Oregon and Washington still has a refined and classy feel. This route proves we already have something that is GOOD ENOUGH if leaders would stop wasting money and just take care of what works.
